Abstract

Plastic closure esp. for tear-top pull ring drink cans enables the opening in the can top to be resealed. It comprises a cylindrical upper section with a cylindrical externally serrated outer region to facilitate gripping during its operation. Below this region is a circular region which forms the seal against the can top surrounding the opening. A wedge-shaped conical toggle (2. 2) is attached to the bottom of the upper section and is designed to pass through the elongated opening in the can top and then to lock against the underside of the top as the closure is rotated using the hand grip.
