Abstract

The rotary sealing cap is for use in resealing cans of drink with tear-open lugs. It is round, with a wedge-shaped tape-ring lug (2) on the underside. It can alternatively be of a shape other than round, and can be made of plastic, or any other suitable material, and the lug can be solidly fixed to it. The entire cap can be in one piece and of material acting as a seal, thus avoiding the need for a separate sealing ring. The cap is particularly for short-term sealing of a can, to safeguard against upsetting or penetration by insects.
