Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 7. Juni 1911 ab.Patented in the German Empire on June 7, 1911.
The purification of some wastewater, in particular those of cardboard and paper mills, tanneries, wool laundries and slaughterhouses, offers very special difficulties. The present invention relates to Purification of wastewater and, in particular, also permits the purification of such wastewater, which, like those of the cardboard and paper mills, tanneries, wool laundries, Slaughterhouses, dairies and margarine factories, their cleaning particular difficulties oppose.
Dieses Reinigungspräparat wird der Erfindung zufolge dadurch gewonnen, daß unter Luftabschluß geglühter Ton mitAccording to the invention, the cleaning is done using a material which chemically as a mixture of silicic acid hydrate and aluminum, ferric and ferrous salts is to be addressed. According to the invention, this cleaning preparation is obtained by that annealed clay with exclusion of air
Man kann vielmehr auch mit gutem Erfolg eisenfreien Ton, beispielsweise Porzellanerde, benutzen. ao acid and water is treated in such a limited amount that precipitation and so that the silica is prevented from becoming insoluble in water. This cleansing preparation results in an extremely high value for the numerous difficult-to-clean wastewater mentioned above Inexpensive clarifying agent with an extraordinarily high cleaning effect, which is found in many Favorable because of the iron content of the clay used as the starting material '30 is affected as that contained in the sound. Iron whole when heated in the absence of air or largely reduced and thus becomes easily soluble in dilute acid. It is however, such an iron content of the raw clay for the essentials achieved by the process Effects not required. Rather, iron-free clay, such as china clay, can be used with good results.
The essential novelty of the process is based on the fact that by heating clay or equivalent materials, such as. B. bauxite, with the exclusion of air, the powdered mass is extremely easy to attack by acid, especially sulfuric acid and hydrochloric acid, and that with appropriate restriction of the solvents, especially the addition of water to the clay, the .4Z 2 O 3 as well as 5t O contained therein 2 can be converted into a state in which they are partly dissolved, partly pseudo-dissolved when mixed with water and have the ability to coagulate and form chemical compounds with substances suspended or dissolved in the water, especially in the case of an alkaline reaction of the liquid.
The ability to be digested by acids comes from the raw, ie. H. not Clay annealed in the absence of air even when finely dispersed at ordinary temperature only to a very small extent, so that with the previously known methods in which this Treatment of the waste water with finely divided raw clay and acid was suggested aside from the long duration of the
fahrens und der dabei nötigen Rührarbeit, an denen seine Anwendung in den meisten Fällen scheitern muß, der Effekt des vorliegenden Verfahrens nicht erreicht werden kann Außerdem ist bei den vorbekannten Verfahren der Abwasserbehandlung mit Ton auch nicht an eine Behandlung des Tons mit seinen Lösungsmitteln in beschränkter Menge gedacht, wodurch es allein möglich wird, das Ausfallendriving and the necessary stirring work, on which its application in most Cases must fail, the effect of the present procedure cannot be achieved In addition, in the previously known methods of wastewater treatment with clay, there is also no need to treat the clay with its Solvents in a limited amount, which alone makes it possible for them to precipitate
Falle das Kieselsäurehydrat und das Tonerdcsulfat nach einem der bekannten verhält-ίο to prevent silica or a substantial fraction of it in sandy form. and to produce or maintain the water-soluble state of the silicic acid hydrate.
Although it is also already known, silica hydrate. to use in gelatinous state in connection with alumina sulphate for the purification of waste water, but in this case the silicic acid hydrate and the alumina sulphate were behaved according to one of the well-known
ao nismäßig kostspieligen Verfahren besonders hergestellt und erst nachträglich miteinander und zwar kochend, möglichst unter Druck kochend, vereinigt, wodurch sich das Verfahren nicht nur sehr teuer, sondern auch umständlich gestaltete und daher zur Klärung von Abwässern in der Praxis nicht benutzbar wurde.ao nismäßig costly process specially produced and only afterwards with each other namely boiling, if possible boiling under pressure, combined, whereby the process not only very expensive, but also cumbersome and therefore not usable for the treatment of wastewater in practice became.
The invention can be carried out, for example, as follows:
About 400 g of 66 ° Be are added to every 1 kg of clay which has been calcined in the absence of air. Sulfuric acid and 1500 g of water are expediently added in several portions, for example first 200 g of acid and 200 g of water and then another 200 g of acid and 400 g of water. These components are left on top of each other for about 20 minutes without heating act, self-heating to a temperature of 80 to 100 ° C. occurs. The temperature of the mixture is then advantageously in the water bath to about Maintain 65 to 90 ° C for about 1 hour and gradually add another 900 g of water added with frequent stirring. Depending on the nature of the clay, one exposure time is sufficient in the heat for 30 to 60 minutes to break down the clay so far that the silica it contains. for assumes the required gelatin-like or muddy consistency and no or only a few percent of the silica precipitate in the form of sand.
The liquid is poured off from the sandy sediment and nitrated on it, whereby a sludge containing silica remains as a filtration residue, while the aluminum sulfate, iron fulfate, etc., as far as they have gone into solution due to H 2 O , pass through the filter.
Mixing device directly in the appropriate proportion of the liquid to be cleaned in the supply channel for the same admixed, so that an even and rapid distribution of the silica sludge takes place on the whole mass of the liquid to be cleaned. j
'In the case of cardboard factory wastewater of the usual composition, it is sufficient, depending on the degree of purification required. 1 to I 1 J 2 kg of the silicic acid sludge for cleaning -von ι ebm wastewater. The waste water mixed with the silica sludge can be fed through the feed pipe directly into an automatic sludge separator of known equipment, for example a so-called Kremer apparatus, in which the sludge is separated within a period of about 10 to 15 minutes, while the purified water is continuous runs in a wobbly state. The sludge can easily be fed back into production, since the small amount of silica fed in is harmless. '
