Nach vorliegender Erfindung werden sich verjüngende und sich noch dazu krümmende Sackgassen dadurch hervorgerufen, daß man'Wellblechstücke paarweise miteinander vereinigt, deren Blechwellen untereinander verschiedenen KrümmungsradiusThe invention relates to a new way of forming the known dead ends in separators for suspended substances from gases or vapors. The new design achieves that of the previously known obstacle forms for the steam channels obtained effects in at least the same size, but the shape and thus the manufacturing method are important is easier and cheaper. According to the present invention, tapered and In addition, curved dead ends are caused by the fact that pieces of corrugated sheet metal are placed in pairs united with one another, whose sheet metal shafts have different radius of curvature

Fig. 2 zeigt eine Oberansicht nach Fortnahme des Deckels.»5 kung that so far with so extraordinarily simple Wall shapes as has not yet been achieved according to the present invention. An exemplary embodiment is shown in the drawing of the new apparatus in Fig. ι in side view, partly shown from the inside. Fig. 2 shows a top view after removing the cover.
The gas or the steam flows through the device in the direction of the arrow indicated in FIG. The dead ends α in the stream channels b are made in such a way that pieces of corrugated iron with different radius of curvature are combined with one another in pairs, with pieces of corrugated iron each having a trough and a crest, so to speak, being chosen as element bodies. The two pieces of corrugated iron each of an element are now joined together and jointly with the neighboring element in such a way that the 'winding path b of the gases and vapors on both sides of the path alternately opens into the dead ends α. Furthermore, the device is made in a particularly expedient manner so that two corrugated iron elements are connected to each other by a web d , which is arranged so that it forms the end wall of a dead end gas α and at the same time in the adjacent flow channel the wall niche for the inlet opening of a dead end there. In the no-flow corners of the dead-end streets, the deposition products flow quickly and undisturbed down the corrugated iron walls.
The trapped substances leave the apparatus through a bottom sieve c and a funnel-shaped collecting space c underneath that drains into a pipe socket.
The particular advantages of the subject matter of the invention are the simple composition the corrugated iron elements to such a versatile effective dead end wall and the fact that they were repeated many times Compression of the gases and vapors in the tapering and equal volume
zeitig krümmenden Sackgassen einen nennenswerten Spannungsabfall nicht entstehen lassen.early bending dead ends do not allow a significant voltage drop to occur.
