Der Schlitten b besitzt auf seiner Unterseite eine in der Verschieberichtung verlaufende Zahnstange v, in die ein Finger oder Stift w der in dem Rahmen α gelagerten Kurbelwelle 0 beim Drehen dieser Welle eingreift, wodurch der Schlitten b fortgeschaltet wird. Durch Drehen am Griff s wird eine Auf- und Abbewegung des Rahmens f, g, k mit den Nadeln i erzielt, die dadurch in die Wabenlöcher einstechen und den Honig lösen.
