B. eine Glasscheibe, ein Film ο. dgl. stufenweise mit an Größe oder Farbenintensität zunehmenden Zeichen bedruckt ist. Wird unter einer solchen Skala die lichtempfindliche Schicht belichtet, dann werden bei eintretender Färbung der letzteren die Zeichen der einzelnen Stufen der Skala allmählich verschwinden, und man wird infolgedessen auch ■ hier nach der Zeit, die jede einzelne Stufe bis zum Verschwinden ihrer Zeichen erfordert, die Lichtintensität feststellen können.
