Verfahren zum Entkalken von Häuten. Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 24. Juni 1910 ab.Procedure for descaling hides. Patented in the German Empire on June 24, 1910.
RhRh
AndererseitsIt is well known that organic acids are best used for descaling, under which in turn, lactic acid is generally recognized as the cheapest decalcifying agent is. The general application of organic acids is available for this purpose however, the manufacturing costs are always much higher than those of the inorganic acids against lactic acid. on the other hand
ίο beeinflußt die Verwendung der wohlfeileren anorganischen Säuren, wie Schwefelsäure, Salzsäure u. dgl., die Qualität des fertigen Leders in sehr schädlicher Weise, worüber man sich in der Praxis einig ist.ίο affects the use of the cheaper ones inorganic acids such as sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid and the like, the quality of the finished leather in a very harmful way, which in practice is agreed.
The subject of the present invention is a method by means of which it is possible to eliminate the abuses mentioned and the decalcification with the help of the inorganic Make acids without their disadvantages occur.
The method consists in that in the decalcifying liquid first a certain Amount of the salt of a suitable organic acid is dissolved, followed by decalcification takes place with a suitable inorganic acid in a known manner.
The amount of salt added should be such that it amounts to approximately V 4 to V 2 of the equivalent amount of organic acid otherwise required for decalcifying. The amount of hydrochloric or sulfuric acid required for descaling is then slowly added. The added acid always finds a certain amount of organic salt in the liquid and releases from it the organic acid as a weaker acid, so that only this weak acid always has an effect on the pelts.
The advantage of this process over the previously known processes with organic Acids alone is a substantial saving, while on the other hand over the Processes that work with strong inorganic acids ensure safe and better work The quality of the leather obtained speaks in favor of using this new process.
Experiments have shown that here the use of lactic acid sodium particularly recommends.
Um die Ausführung des Verfahrens an einem Beispiele zu erläutern, diene folgendes:To illustrate the execution of the method with an example, serve the following:
Auf 100 kg Blöße war 1 kg Milchsäure von
43,5 Gewichtsprozenten zum Entkalken notwendig. Statt dessen wurden gemäß dem neuen
Verfahren 0,25 kg milchsaures Natrium (50 Prozent) und 0,56 kg
verwendet. For every 100 kg of pelt, 1 kg of lactic acid of 43.5 percent by weight was necessary for decalcifying. Instead, according to the new procedure, 0.25 kg of sodium lactate (50 percent) and 0.56 kg
used.
