Die Erfindung stellt einen Backofenverschluß mit selbsttätiger Ein- und Ausschaltung der Innenbeleuchtung dar. Sie ist auf den Zeichnungen in den Fig. i, 2 und 3 dargestellt. Fig. ι stellt einen senkrechten Schnitt durch den Backofen und durch die Verschlußwalze dar. Die punktierten Linien deuten die Stellung bei Verschluß an. Fig. 2 zeigt einen wagerechten Schnitt durch die Verschlußwalze und die Beleuchtungsnischen, und Fig. 3 zeigt einen senkrechten Querschnitt durch die Verschlußwalze. Die Erfindung besteht im wesentlichen aus einer Walze W, die mit einer der Öffnung der Backofentür entsprechenden Aussparung versehen und in den beiden Kopfplatten K und K¹ mit den Achsen L drehbar gelagert ist. An der Walze ist ein Griff H zum Betätigen des Verschlusses angebracht, der eine Kontaktvorrichtung C einer elektrisehen Leitung oder einen Zapfen trägt, welche, je nachdem ob der Backofen mit Gas oder elektrischer Beleuchtung versehen ist, die elektrische Leitung oder den Hahn der Gasleitung so beeinflussen, daß, sobald der Verschluß geöffnet wird, die Lichter V V¹ aufleuchten, wogegen, sobald die Öffnung durch Drehen der Walze nach unten, wie der Pfeil andeutet, geschlossen wird, die Lichter verlöschen.
