Bei der bekannten Heberlein'schen Frictionsschnellbremse, sowie bei ähnlichen Bremsen für die Fahrzeuge der Eisenbahnen geschieht immer die directe Uebertragung der Bewegung von einer auf der Radachse aufgekeilten Rolle auf die in dem Bremsapparat befindliche Frictionsrolle. Vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Neuerung, welche zum Schutz gegen den Einfiufs der Witterung auf den Oberfiächenzustand der Frictionsrolle bezw. der Achsenrolle dient, so dafs die sonst mit der Aenderung der Witterung verbundene Variation des Reibungscoefficienten vermieden wird, und besteht in der Einschaltung eines Frictionsringes, der so angeordnet ist, dafs die eingeschalteten, zur Uebertragungsbewegung mittelst Friction dienenden Flächen innerhalb des Apparates sich befinden, dem Einflüsse der äufseren Witterungsverhältnisse daher entzogen sind. Die Reibung findet hier an der inneren Peripherie des Reibungsringes d statt, und ist dieselbe deshalb, vor Schwankungen infolge ungünstiger Witterungsverhältnisse, insbesondere infolge von Eisbildung auf der Oberfläche der Rolle geschützt. Die auf der Achse aufgekeilte Rolle c ist in der beiliegenden Zeichnung in zwei Modificationen dargestellt, entweder ganz im Innern des Reibungsringes gelagert (s. Fig. 2, 4 und 6) oder den Reibungsring mit Flantschen umgreifend (s. Fig. i, 3 und 5). Die Oberfläche des Reibvmgsringes und der entsprechenden Frictionsrolle kann dabei sehr verschieden gestaltet werden. Entweder ist dieselbe rein cylindrisch (s. Fig. 1) oder mit Zähnen (s. Fig. 3 und 4) oder mit Rinnen (s. Fig. 2) versehen, oder auch gewölbt geformt, wie in Fig. 5 und 6 dargestellt.
