Abstract

The choke control with an indicator light is for carburettors of engine driven vehicles which do not incorporate an automatic choke device. The choke is provided with a draw bar which, when pulled out, moves a gearwheel. This gearwheel is connected with the central axis of a potentiometer which causes a control light to light up on the dashboard. The light remains lit until the choke is pushed completely in. The device therefore constitutes a visual reminder to the driver where the choke remains drawn out longer than necessary, thus assisting in fuel economy and reduction of engine wear.
