Description
Der Apparat besteht aus einem gufseisernen Rahmen, auf welchem die ebenfalls gufseiserne Halbtrommel, die oben trichterförmig ausläuft, festgeschraubt ist. An dieser trichterförmigen Oeffhung ist ein Sieb befestigt. Im Siebe und in der Halbtrommel läuft die durch die Räderübersetzung schnell rotirende Bürstwalze. Dieselbe ergreift die durch den Trichter eingeschütteten, weich gekochten Pflaumen, trennt das Fleisch vollständig vom Kern und drückt es durch das Sieb. Zur Abführung der Kerne dient die Oeffnung a, die während der Thätigkeit des Apparates durch eine Klappe verschlossen wird. Die Kerne werden nach Oeffnung der Klappe durch die Centrifugalkraft hinausgeschleudert. Das Sieb mufs, um die Kerne vollständig rein zu bürsten, stets dicht an der Bürstwalze schleifen. Die gezeichnete Stellung des Siebes nach Abnutzung der Bürstwalze veranschaulicht die Art und Weise, in welcher das Sieb je nach Erfordernifs mehr oder weniger an die Bürstwalze herangezogen wird.
