Bei den bekannten Dachpappenpfannen war es notwendig, wenn die Pappe von der einen den Abquetschwalzen zunächst liegenden Rolle abgewickelt war, die leere Rolle aus der Pfanne heraus und über die noch in ihr hängende bewickelte Rolle nach hinten zu heben, so daß von neuem Rohpappe auf sie aufgewickelt werden konnte. Es war dies eine umständliche und beschwerliche Handhabung. Um sie zu erleichtern, sind nach der Erfindung die gebräuchlichen Griffe A der Rollenträger kurbelähnlich ausgebildet. Nach dem Ablaufen der Pappe von der Rolle B durch das Quetschwerk wird die Rolle B mittels ihrer Handkurbeln um die Stützachsen X derartig geschwenkt, daß ihre Tragschenkel auf die Stützachsen X der vorgeschobenen Rolle C₁ aufzuliegen kommen.
