Verfahren zur Herstellung einer FaserschichtMethod for producing a fiber layer
The present invention relates to a method and a Device for producing a fiber layer as a base layer for non-woven textiles or for consolidating flat structures such as plastic films, Paper or for laminating the same together with flat structures such as textiles and foils, this process consisting in that a fiber layer with random fiber orientation from endless fibers (filament, yarn) is formed, which through a nozzle system conveyed and by an air stream against a condensing surface such as e.g. a conveyor belt, a sieve drum, press calender rolls or ar-

Diese Faserschicht kann nachträglich entweder mechanisch oder adhäsiv in einem beliebigen bekannten Vorgang verfestigt werden.side surfaces of a stitchbonding machine or needle punching machine, with a higher Speed than the take-off speed of the condensing system in question. This fiber layer can subsequently either mechanically or adhesively, in any known process.
H. the formation of nonwovens from staple fibers in various nonwoven formers, such as roller cards with an associated cross-laying system or in a pneumatic one Replace or at least replace nonwoven formers that work in principle perfect. As is known, more than 90% of the current world production of nonwoven textiles consists of roller cards produced nonwovens, although the hourly output of such machines only in exceptional cases exceeds the amount of 30 kg. Thus, such web formers limit the production output of the production lines containing them, in which all other parts of the plant can achieve significantly higher performance. Another typical feature of carded fleeces and, based on this, also of Products from the same is the unevenness of the fleece properties in different, usually by a strength and Directions characterized by extensibility polar diagram. The pneumatic web formation, which should eliminate the two disadvantages, achieved not clearly the goal aimed at. The performance of pneumatic web formers is only special when processing coarse fibers are noticeably higher, while in the processing of running types of fibers, especially fine fibers, the formation of

Fleece with the so-called characteristic "cloudiness", ie the formation of thinner and thicker zones in the fleece. Such a fleece therefore has a lower uniformity in thickness and weight than the carded fleece. Nonetheless, all nonwoven fabrics made from staple fibers also share some common shortcomings. Above all, it is the dependence of the mechanical properties on the staple length of the fibers to be processed and, moreover, in the case of mechanically bound textiles, especially stitch-bonded and needle-punched nonwovens, a noticeable tendency towards "pilling" along with the so-called "ripening effect" 11. This is clearly caused by the number of ends, i.e. the length of the fibers used.
The method according to the invention makes it possible to achieve a versatile improvement over the current state of the art. The fiber layer is formed from endless fibers, ie from filaments or yarns. Therefore, in non-woven textiles of all kinds, the dependence of the properties of the textiles on the fiber length is eliminated, and the tendency both for "pilling" formation and for the "ripening effect 11" is significantly reduced. The fibers are in the form of one another in the fiber layer overlapping loops j with a randomly distributed average orientation of the individual fiber sections in all directions, which accordingly results in very uniform properties in all directions.

From an economic point of view, it is possible according to the invention to achieve an average hourly output of 150 kg with the simplest nozzle arrangement along a single row , which can be multiplied by increasing the number of nozzle rows. This performance significantly exceeds the performance of both the carding machines and the pneumatic web formers and enables the other high-performance machines as components of production lines, such as printing machines, dryers, press calenders, etc. to be used much more economically manufacture of plastic films and paper. It also allows the fiber layer to be formed after the production of man-made fibers, in particular viscose silk. In the latter special case it is possible to convey a fiber bundle through a single nozzle; this is separated by the air flow as a result of the arrangement according to the invention and forms a structurally completely identical fiber layer as in the formation of the nonwoven from individual fibers. The invention also differs very advantageously from another method which provides for the formation of a tangle of filaments fed next to one another to a pair of toothed rollers and mechanically deposited on a condensing system. Although this known method enables the formation of a similar type of fiber layer, its take-off speed is considerably slower, since at a higher speed the winding of individual fibers onto the rollers and the resulting operational malfunctions cannot be prevented. Furthermore, it is not possible to deposit individual fibers if they are supplied in bundle form, so that the productivity of such a

The invention differs also differ considerably from the fiber layer formation carried out directly under a system of spinnerets (the so-called Spun-bond process). This known method allows the fibers in the vertical direction from above onto that of the spinneret in to deposit a relatively large distance conveyor belt. The problem of feeding a fiber layer directly e.g. B. between the calender rolls or in a stitch-bonding mechanism is technically insoluble. Furthermore, this procedure makes it impossible to form a fiber layer from viscose silk, which the latter has the most far-reaching requirements for production enforce of non-woven textiles. The method according to the invention offers additional, but not negligible, advantages when combining different types of fibers, i.e. especially when adding composite fibers with a low softening temperature and high-shrinkable fibers.
The method according to the invention and the implementation thereof suitable device are explained in more detail with reference to the embodiment illustrated in the drawing.
Die Fasern werden vom Luftstrom gegen die Kondensier oberfläche geschleudert und daran abgelagert | in diesem Fall besteht diese Kondensieroberfläche aus einem Förderband 3, einer Trommelpresse 4, woraus der nach dem Durchgang des Gewirrs 5 unmittelbar gewonnene Verbundstoff 6 auf einen Warenbaum 7 aufgewickelt wird.form of 10, 20, 40 or more filaments, either after the production of the same or from those in the creel existing yarn packages or from the warp beam. The endless fibers 1 (Fig. La and Ib) are a system of air nozzles arranged in one or more rows next to one another 2 supplied. Each nozzle (Fig. 2) consists of a funnel-shaped open suction part 8 for the fibers, through which the fibers are sucked and further conveyed, and a take-off part 9 through which the fibers pass and are entrained by the air stream; the compressed air is supplied through at least two air supply openings 10, which are preferably provided at an angle in the nozzle body are that always two or more such openings are symmetrically opposite each other in the nozzle wall to the rotation of the relevant Avoid fiber bundles. From the point of view of business economics, d. H. to achieve the maximum extraction speed with minimum air consumption and minimum overpressure, the design details of the nozzle assembly are important. The fibers are in the air flow against the condensation surface hurled and deposited on it | In this case, this condensing surface consists of a conveyor belt 3, a drum press 4, from which the tangle 5 immediately after it has passed through obtained composite 6 is wound onto a tree 7.
The system of juxtaposed nozzles (Fig. Ib) is preferably with a common air supply 11 to a distribution pipe

The setting of the nozzles with regard to the fiber withdrawal direction can be arbitrary. Nonetheless, it is very beneficial when the nozzles horizontally or even obliquely upwards to the angle · of 45 are directed. This makes it possible to shorten the distance between the nozzles and the condensing system and to discharge the exhaust air past the same .
Ohne SchwierigkeitenThe weight per unit area of the fiber layer to be produced is - in addition to the take-off speed - of the number of fibers in a single one The bundle presented to the nozzle, the withdrawal speed of the condensing system and the number of nozzles. Without difficulty
Krempelvliesen, und der Variationskoeffizient der erfindungsgemäß erhaltenen Schichten schwankt gewöhnlich unter 3 Gew.-%.fiber layers of 10 - 1000 g / m or even higher weight per unit area can be used produce. The evenness of such layers is much higher than that of nonwovens made from pneumatic nonwovens or nonwovens. Carded nonwovens, and the coefficient of variation of the layers obtained according to the invention usually fluctuates below 3% by weight.
