Profileisen werden im allgemeinen auf Kaliberwalzen hergestellt und haben alsdann verjüngte Flanschen bzw. Schenkel, die unter Umständen nur noch durch Richten in die Fertigform zu bringen sind. Profile mit neigungslosen Flanschen bzw. Schenkeln von gleichmäßiger Dicke, d. h, parallelen Flächen, konnten bisher in einwandfreier Weise nur in Spezialwalzwerken hergestellt werden, die besondere, nach jedem Stich zu bedienende Anstellvorrichtungen für die wagerechten und senkrechten Walzen nötig machen und infolgedessen hohe Anschaffungs- und Betriebskosten bedingen. Auf diesen Spezialwalzwerken werden die Flanschen der Profile <mit Neigung, aber von vornherein in gleichmäßiger Stärke gewalzt, so daß am Schlüsse nur noch das Geraderichten der Flansche ohne weitere Bearbeitung zu erfolgen hat.Profile iron are generally produced on caliber rollers and then have tapered Flanges or legs, which under certain circumstances can only be brought into the finished form by straightening. Das Walzwerk zur Ausübung dieses Verfahrens besteht also aus einem Kaliberwalzwerk üblicher Art, dessen letztes Kaliber durch ein nicht der Walzenanstellung bedürfendes Mehrfachwalzwerk ersetzt ist. Es ist also bei dem neuen Verfahren mit den auf jedem Hüttenwerk vorhandenen Hilfsmitteln ohne wesentliche Neuanschaffungen möglich, derartige Profile in der denkbar einfachsten und in einwandfreier Weise zu erhalten, was ausgeschlossen wäre, wenn man die Schenkel bzw.
