In den Patentschriften 112833 un<i 175630 ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung wertvoller roter Farblacke beschrieben, darin bestehend, daß man den Farbstoff aus diazotierter 2-Naphtylamin-i-sulfosäure und ß-Naphtol in unlösliche Salze überführt; das dort beschriebene Verfahren besteht u. a. darin, daß man die freie Farbsäure oder ihre Alkalisalze bzw. das Ammoniumsalz mit Metallcarbönaten behandelt.
