Abstract

Moist coarse pulp residue from mechanical wood pulp prodn. is dewatered to 70-20% water content and ground in a disc impact disintegrator. Procedure enables the residue to be recycled to the wood pulp used for high quality paper prodn. The pulp residue is purified prior to dewatering in a centrifuge, partic. to remove particles of e.g. corundum picked up in the mechanical wood pulp prodn. The length of life of the impact disintegrator is thereby extended.

Description

Aqueous fiber suspensions with water contents above 80 % have long been treated in paper production in various types of grinding units for the purpose of comminution. So-called refiners are common for this. These grinding machines are not able to grind the reject from the wood grinding shop so well that it can be added again in the fine paper production. In the fine paper production area, rejects were previously considered unusable waste. It was therefore used in the production of inferior types (e.g. cardboard) or polluted the sewage treatment plant or, in the absence of it, the receiving water.

In-house attempts to grind up clay rejects in corundum disk mills and pan mills were partly satisfactory in terms of the process and partly unsatisfactory in terms of the result.

The invention specified in claim 1 is based on the object of the rejects for fine paper production In contrast to the prior art since then, according to the invention, the Grinding of moist rejects with different water content in areas of humidity that have not been used since then and carried out with a type of mill that is not common in paper production »There are rejects reduced water content and an impact plate mill used «*

In large-scale tests similar to practice, a dependency of the mill output with regard to throughput and grinding fineness was found and fiber distribution found from the water content of the ground material. In general, the better ones presented themselves Grinding conditions at the lower moisture contents. However, the most economical method depends on the Sum of the costs for the required dewatering work (sieve, filter, press, dryer) and the grinding work.

Aber auch beiEconomic optimum does not coincide with the lowest water content "Eä was found that the grinding yielded a reject material with 20 ° / o water content very satisfactory Mahlgüte and grinding performance. But also with

35 $igem Stoff, d.h. Wassergehalt von 65 0Jo1 war noch befriedigende Mahlwirkung festzustellen. Innerhalb des Bereiches von 70 - 20 % Wassergehalts liegt erfahrungsgemäß das wirtschaftliche Optimum.35 $ strength material, ie water content of 65 0 1 Jo was seen still satisfactory grinding effect. Experience has shown that the economic optimum lies within the range of 70 - 20 % water content.

The partial drainage of the rejects, like them is necessary for the method according to claim 1, can bycl known dewatering devices such as curved sieve, belt pressure filter Screw presses or fluidized bed dryers take place.

The method according to claim 2 has the purpose that the production-related stone particles contained in a wood pulp that was ground on stones, in particular the impurities consisting of the mineral corundum and cannot be separated by magnets, from the rejects be separated. This separation should increase the service life of the grinding sets of the impact plate mills in the sense an increase in the economic efficiency of the process.

Die Qualität des nach obigem Verfahren gemahlenen Schleiferei-Spuckstoffes hat der Faseranalyse nach den Charakter eines Holzschliff-Feinstoffes mit einem geringen Gehalt an Faserlangstoff und ganz erheblich reduziertem Gehalt anThe quality of the grinding rejects ground according to the above procedure According to the fiber analysis, it has the character of a wood pulp fines with a low content of Long fiber pulp and a significantly reduced content of
