Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 5. Juni 1907 ab.Patented in the German Empire on June 5, 1907.
With the known evaporation processes, even with the vacuum processes, many become organic Substances, especially those that taste good, noticeably changed. This inconvenience can be avoided by just doing this takes small quantities into work at once than can be thickened immediately, d. H. individual drops are evaporated while they float freely.
In the form of drops, the liquid offers the advantage of the largest possible surface area with a small content and can be brought from its original state to the desired thickness in the short time during which it falls through a certain height. Of course, in order to be efficient, an apparatus serving this purpose must bring a large mass of drops simultaneously for treatment. For this purpose, m an generated in a suitable cavity, ζ. B. in a standing cylinder, a spray of the liquid to be treated o. The like. And heats the drops formed by radiation by avoiding any contact with a solid wall. Are the walls of the standing cylinder sufficiently heated - they can be heated well above the decomposition temperature of the substances to be evaporated, e.g. B. on oven heat - so every drop loses the prescribed amount of water during the fall time without getting very hot. The water vapor is carried away in the usual way, if one works in a vacuum, condensed, and the residue of the evaporation falls down into a suitable collecting vessel, which is itself cold and removes the product of the apparatus from the further heat effect. It can be specially cooled for this purpose.
The well-known sprinkler nozzle is used to produce the required spray with a pointed scattering cone of a rapidly rotating distribution body and the like. One works with air, it can be removed by the air pump. Instead of the Air also use water vapor, especially overheated, and then simply use it with condense the other. A harmful heating of the injected mass by The steam kicks in, presumably because of the brief touch that is only a split second takes, not a.
The method described above is particularly suitable for evaporating puree, Fruit juice, milk, in general for all substances which are easily decomposable by heat.
The method is also advantageous for those evaporation processes in which the wall Could suffer damage, e.g. B. when evaporating alkalis (chlorine magnesium lye, sodium hydroxide solution), when generating steam from hard, scale-forming water.
·The present method is also advantageous when preheating feed water for steam boilers. ·
Der hier beschriebene Vorgang ist aber ein wesentlich anderer, da bei dem bekannten VerfahrenIt is already known to produce blood meal by spraying it dry in a stream of warm air. The process described here is an essential one other, as with the known method
So gelingt es, Fruchtmus, Säfte u. dgl. so einzudicken, daß sie den natürlichen Wohlgeschmackheated by touch rather than radiation; besides, one has with this one Process the possibility of working completely independently under any pressure, and furthermore there is a continuation of the fine Drops and the even finer evaporation residue, what a reasonably more powerful Caused airflow, avoided. This is how it is possible to thicken fruit pulp, juices, etc. that they have the natural taste
, behalten. Soweit der Geschmack auf dem, keep. So much for the taste
: Content is based on substances that evaporate as easily or more easily than water they are collected in a known manner and added to the product later. The recovery of the fruit ethers e.g. B. can be connected to a vacuum evaporator after the described device can be connected just as well as to any other vaporizer.
In the Milchzeitung 1902, p. 50, left column, paragraph i, the use is already more radiant Warmth spoken. Here, however, the radiation surfaces are brought as close as possible to the liquid to be evaporated. The invention assumes that the radiation area is as large as possible compared to the irradiated area should be.
In addition, the spread of the liquid to be evaporated on flow surfaces is according to the above Literature connected with only one-sided irradiation of the liquid and the connection of the radiation with the atomization on the other hand, a step forward.
In the evaporation process known from British patent specification 21596 of 1904 the effect of the radiant heat is only insignificant, since the Most of the heat used during evaporation is supplied by the vacuum from the heat stored inside; because the wall of the evaporation apparatus gets wet, the wet surface takes the temperature caused by the evaporation and receives the heat of vaporization by conduction. A radiation between the Surface and the agitated liquid can therefore not enter.
It has also been proposed, liquids in finely divided form in a To heat the heating jacket by means of pressurized steam above the evaporation temperature ; so here, too, no radiant heat comes into play.
