Description
KAISERLICHESIMPERIAL
PATENTAMT.PATENT OFFICE.
It is known to line the entire inside of the glasses with a sheet metal jacket for the same purpose; however, on the one hand, this complete covering is not necessary, and on the other hand, the intended purpose is hardly achieved because of it the large sheet metal body also causes noise. It is also known the glasses only at the stop points of the bobbin case, i.e. on the bridge of the glasses and in the cutout for the so-called horn of the bobbin case, to be provided with springs to reduce the noise; however, so far the pen on the bridge of the glasses was free and was
The whole machine was also immediately inoperable if this spring was broken. On the other hand, in the present invention, firstly, the spring in the eyeglass bridge is protected so that it cannot be bent, and secondly the eyeglass bridge has such a shape that, even if the spring breaks, it can be sewn on the machine without it.
In the drawing, FIG. 1 shows a plan view of the gripper and the glasses with a horizontal section through the latter and the bridge, FIG. 2 shows the plan view of this part of the glasses, while FIG. 3 shows an end view of the glasses, and FIG. 4 to 7 show in detail the bridge of the glasses and the spring fitted therein.
The bobbin case b lies in the gripper a and is prevented from falling out by the ring-shaped glasses c. The horn d of the bobbin case protrudes into the cutout e of the glasses, which is lined in a known manner at the stop point of the horn with a leaf spring f, which is fastened with screws at g and h and with its other, free end in a hole i the glasses protrude so that the thread cannot get caught on them.
The eyeglass bridge k, which is fastened to it by means of screws / and m, goes transversely through the glasses. This web is designed in a novel way as a channel with two pairs of projecting side walls n, which follow exactly the shape of the stop spring 0 fastened in the channel. The spring 0 is bent so that it protrudes only as much over the side cheeks of the eyeglass bridge as is necessary for contact with the coil housing. Is their free ends p protrude into corresponding recesses of the spectacle ridge to below the glasses, as shown in FIG. 1 can be seen, so that the yarn can not remain attached to it and no reason to encrypt
Claims (2)
In addition, the spring ο is covered against lateral bending by its protected position within the cheeks η of the eyeglass bridge.
Since the spring ο can be held very easily and elastically due to its protected arrangement, the noise is significantly dampened by it. Furthermore, since the cheeks η of the eyeglass bridge are of the curly shape
