Description
Fig. 2a und 2b eine weitere Ausführung des Einbau-Doppelzylinders,
Fig. 4a und 4b eine weitere Ausführung des Einbau-Doppelzylinders.
The invention relates to a built-in double cylinder according to the preamble of independent claim 1.
Built-in double cylinders of this type are generally known. If one of these ends protrudes beyond the door surface, it can be gripped with a special tool and broken on the web, which is usually also weakened by a hole for the forend screw. In order to increase the strength of the built-in double cylinder in this regard, it is proposed in DE-PS 643 045 to hold the two cylinder cores together with a coupling preventing the pulling apart. It is also known to install a continuous cylinder core in the full length of the built-in double cylinder in this. From DE-PS 2 106 456 a device for coupling two cylinder cores is also known, with which it is achieved that the web connecting the two housing parts does not have to have a recess for the locking beard.
By using modern special tools, however, these built-in double cylinders can also be broken in the area of the faceplate screw hole and the lock can thus be opened.
The invention has for its object to provide a double cylinder of the type mentioned, which offers greater security against tear-off and stalling attempts and which can still be produced inexpensively. The object is achieved by the invention according to claim 1.
If the bridge made of brass or hardened steel breaks due to material fatigue, the housing is nevertheless held together by the flexible element. The flexible element is preferably made of spring steel wire, which does not break even under constant load, that is to say with constantly changing loads and traction. The element is preferably prestressed. A particularly high strength is achieved if the flexible element is inserted in a separately manufactured web, which connects the separately manufactured housing parts. Further advantageous designs result from the remaining dependent claims.
Exemplary embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Details not essential to the invention have been left out for the sake of clarity. Show it:
1a shows a built-in double cylinder according to the invention, only one housing part being shown for reasons of illustration and the cylinder cores and locking beard being omitted,
1b is a section through the built-in double cylinder along the line Ib,
2a and 2b, another embodiment of the built-in double cylinder,
3a and 3b another embodiment of the built-in double cylinder, the housing being made in one piece, and
4a and 4b another embodiment of the built-in double cylinder.
1a, 1b and 2a, 2b, the built-in double cylinder has a housing which consists of two identical housing parts 1, only one housing part being shown in each case. A web 3 or 11 made of chromium-nickel steel is inserted into a recess 18 in a cylinder bag 9. This stiffens the cylinder housing and contains in its middle part a threaded bore 6 for a faceplate screw, not shown here. The web 3 and 11 and the housing parts 1 are held together by heavy-duty locking pins which pass through bores 5 and 15 in the web 3 and 11, respectively. The cylinder housing has in the usual way a recess 17 for a locking beard 21 (Fig. 3a, 4a).
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 1a and 1b, a U-shaped part 4 made of chromium-nickel steel is soldered onto the web 3 in the middle part. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 2a and 2b, this part consists of a closed ring 12, which is a piece from a drawn steel tube made of chromium-nickel steel. The housing parts 1 lie flat against this ring 12 in the area of the cylinder bag 19. The double installation cylinder is extraordinarily fixed in the region of the recess 17 against breaking off by the ring 12.
A flexible rope 7 or 16 made of spring steel wire is soldered into a bore 8 in the cylinder bag 9 or 19. The rope 7 is exposed in the area of the recess 17, while the rope 16 is also soldered into the web 11 in this area. The ropes 7 and 16 are dimensioned and fastened at their ends in the web 3 and 11, respectively, so that if the web breaks in the region of the recess, the two housing parts 1 are firmly connected to one another. The ropes 7 and 16, which are made of spring steel wire, do not break even when the cylinder part on the outside of the door is moved for a long time.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3a and 3b, the built-in double cylinder has a housing 29 which is made from one piece. The cylinder bag 20 has holes 24 for tumbler pins 30. Ropes 23 made of spring steel wire are soldered into longitudinal bores 31 in the cylinder bag 20 and hold the two separate parts together in the event of a break in the housing in the region of a threaded bore 28 for the faceplate screw. The cylinder bag can also be solid, as is known from the applicant's CH-A 519 645. In this case, the four ropes 23 can be replaced by a single, correspondingly stronger rope.
4a and 4b, the flexible element consists of fins 26 which are soldered to one another. This element 25 is soldered at each end into a recess 32 of a cylinder bag part 27 and has the threaded bore 28 for the forend screw in its central part. In this embodiment, a web 3 or 11 is therefore unnecessary. An embodiment is also conceivable in which the element 25 consists of a soldered rope corresponding to the rope 7 or 16, but is dimensioned such that a bore for the forend screw can also be made in the middle part here.
The above information thus results in built-in double cylinders that are resistant to material breakage during tear-off and stalling attempts and are therefore extremely safe.
