Auf diesen Innenflächen sind radiusförmig je zwei bis sechs vierkantige Stahlleisten s s eingeschoben, welche je nach der Stärke des zu verwendenden Papieres ein und mehr Millimeter über die glatte Fläche der Platten hervorstehen. Die untere Kreisplatte A ist nur um ihre Achse drehbar, während die obere B außerdem auch noch gehoben und gesenkt werden kann. Eine entsprechende Vorrichtung bewirkt, daß, wenn die eine Platte nach einer Seite gedreht wird, sich die andere gleichzeitig in derselben Geschwindigkeit nach der anderen Seite dreht. Eine Stellvorrichtung hält beide Platten in gewünschtem Abstand, welcher der Höhe der hervorstehenden Stahlleisten entspricht. Um nun eine Topfhülle zu kreppen, wird die obere Platte B gehoben und zwischen zwei Radiusleisten ein entsprechend gefaltetes Stück Papier α auf die untere Platte A gelegt, wie die Fig. 2 zeigt. Danach wird die Platte B wieder gesenkt und die Entfernung der beiden Platten A und B fixiert. Dann wird die untere Platte A um 30 bis 90°, je nach der Anzahl der Radiusleisten, gedreht, wobei sich Platte B entgegengesetzt bewegt. Wird danach die Platte B wieder gehoben, so liegt das Papier α gekreppt auf der unteren Platte A.
