Description
The invention relates to a method for the production of shaped coke from lignite, in the latter case initially briquetted and the briquettes produced in this way and having a water content are coked.
Briquetting should be carried out without a binding agent will. The prerequisite for this is the presence of a certain water content in the lignite. This optimal water content necessary for briquetting has proven itself in known methods of type described at the beginning turned out to be disadvantageous, as the evaporation of this water loosens the structure of the briquette, which results in the Strength of the resulting coke is lowered. This problem is known. One way to him To take into account, the heating of the briquettes in a preliminary stage to the actual coking to be carried out extremely slowly at first, in order to ensure a correspondingly slow evaporation of the Briquette water to achieve. The disadvantage of this method, however, is one of the lengthy times it causes Usage time of the feedstock in the coking reactor, which makes this process uneconomical.
The invention is based on the object of carrying out a method of the type described at the outset in such a way that that even with an economical production enabling residence time of the briquettes in the Coking reactor sufficient strength of the resulting molded coke is guaranteed.
To solve this problem, the invention proposes that drying and degassing depending on the pressure of the steam and gaseous evaporation and / or gaseous distillation products are regulated. It is expedient to proceed in such a way that initially an atmosphere saturated with water vapor using the briquette water present in the briquette produced and maintained by excess steam pressure during the drying phase will. This overpressure is advantageous during the pre-degassing, the main degassing and the Maintain post-degassing to control the degassing rate.
In practice, the procedure is that after the briquettes have been introduced into the coking chamber, the coking chamber is closed until an atmosphere saturated with water vapor is established, which results in a pressure increase within the coking chamber Temperature range from about 50-250 0 C, preferably between 100-20O 0 C 1 takes place. During / at the end of the subsequent degassing, this saturated atmosphere or a pressure corresponding to the same is maintained within the coking chamber. The drying and gaseous distillation products are thus discharged from the latter with the interposition of a suitable throttle organ which maintains the desired overpressure within the coking chamber.
It is essential that the desired success can be achieved using simple means, which do not require any significant economic effort. This is particularly also in based on the fact that it is possible to use an overpressure that is below an atmospheric pressure The level of the overpressure to be set depends on the ratio of briquette volume: reactor volume, from Briquette water content and the briquette density. It is thus possible to find each one for the given briquette to set optimal conditions. As a result, this means that for the strength of the briquettes optimal water content can be provided as the Strength of the briquettes is also the main factor influencing the strength of the resulting molded coke Depending on the briquette water level set taking this aspect into account then the overpressure inside the coking chamber
As a result, the process boils down to the fact that the strength of the molded ball is already at the briquetting of the lignite is given, so that e: essentially during the subsequent coking it is only concerned with no longer having an unfavorable influence on this strength-determining factor. Under Taking into account the proposed coking technique, it is possible to consider the briquette strength as To preserve coke strength, d. That is, the thermal treatment does not cause any loss of strength.
Eine Mitverwendung bei der Brikett- und Kokserzeugung wäre nur bei einer Nachtrockung und Nachzerkleine-the fraction from 0 to about 6 mm which, after separation, is intended for briquetting Fractions only up to 1 mm remain for the direct reduction of iron ores for the production of Iron sludge, to be used as an adsorbent or as a preliminary product for the production of fertilizers. One Has parallel application of the method according to the invention with one of the other mentioned methods the advantage that of the total grain size range which normally inevitably occurs as a whole from 0–6 mm, the part 1–6 mm can also be used in relation to the proceeds will produce more favorable results than the use of this fraction as fuel. One Co-use in briquette and coke production would only be possible in the case of post-drying and re-shredding.

However, it goes without saying that the application according to the invention is not applicable under all circumstances bound that the fraction 1-6 mm or another residual fraction of the total grain size range from which is assumed to be used in the manner described.
Im übrigen sieht die Erfindung ohnehin die Möglichkeit vor, daß die bei der Verkokung anfallenden Destillationsprodukte zur Deckung des Wärmebedarfs für die Austreibung des Brikettwassers und die Verkokung verbrannt werden, so daß der gesamte Verkokungsprozeß ohnehin autotherm istIn addition, the invention sees the possibility anyway that the distillation products resulting from the coking process to cover the heat demand for the expulsion of the briquette water and the coking are burned, so that the entire The coking process is autothermal anyway
