Das Hauptpatent betrifft ein Verfahren zum Aufbereiten von gebrauchten thermoplastischen Kunststoffen, bei dem der verschmutzte Kunststoff gewaschen, getrocknet, zerkleinert und anschließend granuliert wird, und löst die Aufgabe, die Waschstufe so zu ver einfachen, daß die Aufbereitung gebrauchter Kunststoffe und deren Wiederverwendung für Extrusion, Spritzguß oder andere Zwecke kostenmäßige Vorteile gegenüber dem Einsatz von Neuware bietet. Das Verfahren gestattet, daß die verschmutzten Kunststoffe gründlich von den Fremdstoffen befreit werden könne" da sie während des Zerkleinerungsvorgangs heftig bewegt werden und die Waschflüssigkeit, gegebenenfalls unter Zugabe von Waschmitteln, gut an die Fremdstoffe herankommt. Es ist bei diesem Verfahren sooar möglich, an den Kunststoffen stark haftende Fremdstoffe wie Aufdrucke abzulösen, so daß für die Regeneration der Kunststoffe das Problem der Einfärbung des regenerierten Kunststoffes durch Aufdrucke zumindest gemildert wird. Dabei muß angenommen werden, daß das Entziehen der Flüssigkeit größtenteils auf Grund der Zentrifugalkraft, die sich auf die Waschflüssigkeit des mit dem Schlagzerkleinerungswerkzeug umlaufenden Kunststoffes auswirkt, aber auch auf Grund der Verdampfung der Flüssigkeit wegen der durch das umlaufende Schlagzerkleinerungswerk/eug erzeugten Erwärmung des Kunststoffes erfolgt.That means washing.
