Als UmhUllung für die Fettportion wird vorzugsweise ein mit leicht abnehmbaren und federnd verschließbarem Deckel versehener, getrennter, flacher Behälter verwendet, dessen Höhe annähernd gleich der Höhe der daneben liegenden Lebensmittelportion ist. Der schalenartige Behälter weist konische oder gewölbte Seitenwandungen mit einem oberen, nach außen vorspringenden Rand nach Art eines Tellers auf.
