Verfahren zur Darstellung roter Küpenfarbstoffe.Process for the preparation of red vat dyes.
Zusatz zum Patente 205377 vom 17. Januar 1907.Addendum to patent 205377 of January 17, 1907.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 3. Dezember 1907 ab. Längste Dauer: 16. Januar 1922.Patented in the German Empire on December 3, 1907. Longest duration: January 16, 1922.
While one by condensation of substituted in the benzene nucleus derivatives of 3-Oxy (i) thionaphtens with Acenaphtenchinon receives dyes, which in the nuance considerably differ from that of the dye of the main patent 205377, this is not the case Case in the dyes, which according to the present invention by condensation of In the naphthalene nucleus halogen-substituted derivatives of acenaphthenequinone with 3-oxy (i) thionaphthene can be obtained. Since the bromine-containing dyes, the production of which are protected by patent 196349, also have a shade do not differ very significantly from the unsubstituted dye, it can be assumed that even in the case of direct bromination, substitution initially takes place in the naphthalene nucleus. The one described below However, the bromine-containing dye shown in Example I is considerably more lightfast and stronger in color than the dyes obtainable by direct bromination according to patent 196349. Opposite to the unsubstituted dye are those obtainable by the present process Dyes are distinguished by their even greater affinity for cotton fibers.

bromacenaphtens' nach der von Graebe und G fell er [Annalen 276, Seite 4] für die Darstellung von Acenaphtenchinon aus Acenaphten beschriebenen Methode), 21 Teile Phenylthioglykol-0-carbonsäure, 3 Teile geschmolzenes Natriumacetat und 90 Teile Essigsäureanhydrid werden zusammen am Rückflußkühler bis zur Beendigung der Farbstoffbildung zum Kochen erhitzt.bromacenaphtens' after that of Graebe and G fell he [Annalen 276, page 4] for the preparation of acenaphthenequinone from acenaphthene method described), 21 parts of phenylthioglycol-0-carboxylic acid, 3 parts of molten sodium acetate and 90 parts of acetic anhydride are refluxed together until heated to the boil to stop dye formation.
The dye, which separates out as a red crystalline powder in the heat, is filtered off and washed with benzene.
In konz. In conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves easily with a more yellowish green color than the corresponding one dye derived from acenaphthenequinone itself; water becomes unchanged in flakes with a slightly more brownish tinge failed. In a finely divided state it is made up of an alkaline sodium hydrosulphite solution transferred to a blue-violet vat. By oxidation of the blue-violet colorations obtained in the vat in the air or with weak oxidation baths will get red tones.
In this example, the phenylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid be replaced by any of their derivatives substituted in the benzene nucleus, whereby dyes of analogous properties, but of course different shades varying from orange to red can be obtained.

Er ist identisch mit dem nach Beispiel I erhaltenen Produkt.26 parts of monobromacenaphthenequinone and 15 parts of 3-oxy (1) thionaphthene are used in 800 parts of fuel dissolved or suspended at the boil and after the addition of an aqueous solution of ι part of calcined soda or an equivalent amount of ammonia on the reflux condenser further boiled until the dye is formed is terminated. The precipitated dye is filtered off and washed. He is identical with the product obtained according to Example I.
Beispiel III.Example III.
Der in roten Kristallenen ausgeschiedene Farbstoff wird abgesaugt und mit Benzol gewaschen.100 parts by weight of monochloroacenaphthenequinone, 100 parts of phenylthioglycol-o-carboxylic acid, 10 parts of molten sodium acetate and parts of acetic anhydride are refluxed heated until dye formation is complete. The one in red crystals The dye which has separated out is filtered off with suction and washed with benzene.
It is similar to the Example I bromine-containing dye in all respects.
