Use of sulfonamide derivatives containing oxygen-containing end groups as modifiers and / or pigment rubs for the production of polyurethane moldings and lacquers.
The use of processing aids or modifiers in plastics processing always leads to the problem of the compatibility of these auxiliaries with the plastic and the permanence of these effects in use. In the case of auxiliaries for the processing of polyurethanes, attention must therefore be paid to that the desired properties of these plastics are preserved, if the aid opens up new possibilities for processing and use. Polyurethanes are used today rapidly increasing z. B. used in artificial leather manufacture, because, together with extremely good mechanical strengths, they are largely resistant to solvents, which is what they protects against destruction during chemical cleaning and in contact with petrol. The polyurethanes are also down to very low Temperatures flexible without containing components that can be extracted with water.
Man war also bisher gezwungen, für ,jedenSo far, no modifiers are known, which are not at least one of the advantageous properties of Changing polyurethanes. So up to now one was forced to, for everyone

Verwendungszweck ein "maßgeschneidertes" Polyurethan herzustellen.Intended use to produce a "tailor-made" polyurethane.
It is understandable that on the part of the plastics processing industry there is a desire to modify the polyurethanes available on the market for special requirements.
A desirable modification is the permanent, i.e. H. extraction-resistant, Protection against electrostatic charge.
Another desirable modification is that of hardness or flexibility without losing the advantages of using polyurethanes described in the first section.
Suitable auxiliaries can also be used when processing polyurethanes bring significant benefits. A processing problem that is to be solved by the use of tools, is to be described in the following.
Plastics are often pigmented during processing in such a way that the required pigments are rubbed in a liquid that the Plastic preparation can be added without affecting the processing properties and to adversely affect the utility value of the object produced therefrom. So you can use the pigments for Rub soft PVC plastisols in plasticizers, which are reseptureand parts anyway represent. The pigments for paints can also be rubbed in the solvent, since the solvent evaporates during use must become.

The rubbing of the pigments promotes the even distribution in the plastic mass, at the same time due to the high shear stress Agglomerates break up, which increases the productivity of the pigments and, moreover, prevents pigment grains from being visible to the naked eye occur in the finished plastic object.
The rubbing is usually done on friction chairs on which between a roller and a stationary doctor blade or between several rollers high shear forces are generated. Unless water-based plastic dispersions are used, the pigments must be organic Rub in candies »These liquids either have to remain in the plastic or, if they have a detrimental effect on the properties could affect can be removed again.
The easiest method of removal is by vaporizing. Low boilers are poorly suited for rubbing on the roller, as they are spread out into a very thin film during the rubbing process, so that considerable solvent losses due to the large surface area develop. On the other hand, high boilers are difficult to remove by evaporation.
Another method would be the extraction of the pigment carrier liquid. However, this is tedious, cumbersome and therefore costly »
Deshalb ist es vorteilhaft, in hochsiedenden Flüßigkeiten anzureiben, die im Kunststoff verbleiben können, ohne ihn nachteilig zu beein-Therefore it is advantageous to rub in high-boiling liquids, which can remain in the plastic without adversely affecting it.

flußen, gegebenenfalls sogar qualitätsverbessernde Effekte mit sich bringen.flow with them, possibly even quality-improving effects bring.
The usual pigments, especially the inorganic ones, have much higher densities, e.g. B. Chrome yellow 6.12, titanium dioxide 3i94 - 4 | 26, calcium carbonate 2.72 - 2.93, iron oxide red 5.25. The result is that pigments, even if they are finely divided, have a tendency to sediment, which, in the case of a high pigment concentration, can also appear as the organic liquid separating out on the surface. The "speed of this phenomenon is influenced by the viscosity of the organic liquid, however, given the large differences in density, it is always to be expected at β
A high-boiling organic liquid with good pigment carrying capacity, which is well compatible with polyurethane solutions and the moldings produced from them and those described in p. 1 paragraph 1 The advantages of using polyurethanes do not diminish and must therefore represent a valuable aid for the processor.
$ bezogenThe present invention is the recognition that can be prepared with the described in more detail below sulfonamide months stable Pigmentverreibungen that polyurethane they impart in concentrations from 0.5 wt. It was extremely surprising that both the desired modifications to the properties of polyurethanes and the advantages described when processing with a compound λ
I could be achieved without reducing the numerous advantages of polyurethanes as materials. »The advantages that the plastics processor can gain from buying and storing one product are obvious. In addition, it is well known from plastics processing that when several aids are used, not only the interactions between the plastic and the aid, but also the mutual influence of these aids must be taken into account.
