Die Erfindung betrifft ein Werkzeug zum Herausarbeiten von Löchern für Absatz- und Sohlenschutzplatteh, die in die Laufflächen von Schuhwerk vertieft eingesetzt und mittels besonderer Schraube befestigt werden. Um die Herstellung derartiger Löcher möglichst einfach zu halten, ist es vorteilhaft, mit dem Herausarbeiten des Loches für die Platte gleichzeitig dasjenige für die Befestigungsschraube auszubohren. Dabei ist aber notwendig, daß das Werkzeug auch die namentlich im Absatz befindlichen Nägel, also Metallteile, mit fortnimmt. Das für diesen Zweck bestimmte Werkzeug besteht nun gemaß der Erfindung aus einem fräserartigen Bohrwerkzeug, dessen arbeitende Stirnfläche für den gedachten Zweck geeignete Aufhauungen, ähnlich denen einer Grobfeile, besitzt. Der Fräskörper ist in der Mitte mit einem Dorn versehen, der nötigenfalls als Nagelbohrer ausgebildet ist und sowohl zur Erzeugung des Loches für die Befestigungsschraube der Platte wie auch als Führung für den Fräser dient.
