Tool for drilling and sharpening Ho! z Gegenatänder, especially for refining
Fruit-trees.
The invention relates to a new tool for drilling and sharpening, which can be used primarily for grafting fruit trees and the like, but can also be used for other purposes. The new tool makes the grafting of fruit trees much easier not only for every horticultural specialist, but also for every other person. The invention consists in that a cone-shaped hollow sharpener serving to sharpen the noble rice is designed as a handle for the drill that is used to drill the wildling and corresponds exactly to the sharpener in the cone shape, the latter optionally simultaneously for tapping the boh. knife carries usable protective sleeve. When using the tool, the sharpener serves as a handle for the drill and vice versa.
Since both correspond exactly in the cone shape, the joining of the conically pointed noble rice with the equally conically drilled wildling becomes a very intimate one and both parts can grow together very precisely because of the all-round contact in the entire length of the hole. Because of the exact fit, the bark of both parts grow together exactly, so that the refinement can be carried out by any inexperienced.
The new tool is shown diagrammatically in FIG. 1 of the drawing. In Fig. 2, the protective sleeve is veranschs. ullight.
The drill a, which tapers conically into a point, has three knife edges in the embodiment shown. The knives can either consist of one piece with the drill, as shown, or they could also be attached with screws or the like. The handle c attached to the handle b of the drill is provided with a conical cavity d and designed as a hollow sharpener, similar to a pencil sharpener, in that it carries the knife e which protrudes slightly into this along a slot on its upper side. The cone shape d of the sharpener corresponds exactly to that
Conical shape of the drill a.
The whole tool can be made of any material. Especially. it could be made from a single piece. But you can also use the sharpener serving as a handle especially on the handle b of the drill by means of the approach f
Fasten screw connection, soldering or the like. In ! In this case, the Spitzor can be made of a material other than the steel drill, for example brass.
Both the sharpening knife and one of the drilling rigs can, as shown, be provided with matching graduation marks in order to be able to bring the length of the sharpening or the depth of the tapping into exact correspondence.
When drilling into the wild with the drill a, the sharpener d serves as a handle. If one then wants to sharpen the noble rice for insertion into the bore, this is done by means of the sharpener d, the drill serving as a handle. A protective neck g (Fig. 2), which serves both to protect the tool against breaking off and to protect the hand against injury, is expediently pushed onto the drill a.
At the same time, the sleeve g, if it is made of a suitable abrasive material, can also be used by the inexperienced to sharpen the drill knives.

In addition to refining fruit trees, the new tool can also be used for other purposes, for example in carpentry, wherever it is a question of inserting a conically pointed pin in a hole that is exactly as conical.
