Abstract

The fuel tank (1, 2) is assembled of two cases (3, 4) open on one side (4a) and made of a suitable metal. Both parts (3, 4) are joined with a single welding seam (5) positioned around their edges. Several baffle sheets (9) are vertically positioned inside the tank (1, 2). The sheets (9) can be made of a material different from the material of the outer shell (2) in order to increase the stability but keep the weight at a low level.

Claims (12)

Kraftstofftank, insbesondere Nutzfahrzeugtank, mit einer Umfangswandung und zwei Stirnwandungen dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass wenigstens eine Stirnwandung (3) mit einem Teil der Umfangswandung (2) einstückig aus einer Hülse (4) gebildet ist.1.
