Abstract

Monitoring of motor vehicle fuel tanks for theft or leakage using a measurement unit (1) which stores the value of fuel level meter (2) as soon as the vehicle stops (tacho-shaft signal (3)) or the engine is switched off (dynamo output (5)). The stored value at the beginning of measurement is constantly compared with actual given value and with variation of the calculated difference value (starting value = 0) in a negative zone, a signal output from the measurement unit is activated and an alarm output follows via an acoustic and/or optical appliance (4). An independent claim is given for a motor vehicle fuel tank protection device.

Claims (2)

1. Die Überwachung von KFZ-Treibstoffbehälter (Tank) auf Diebstahl des Inhaltes oder Leckage des Behälters bei stehendem Fahrzeug, oder abgestelltem Motor mittels einer Messeinheit (1), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass:
  • - Eine elektronische Messeinheit (1) den angegebenen Wert des/der Füllstandsmesser(s) (2) speichert, sobald das Fahrzeug steht (Tachowellensignal (3)) oder der Motor abgeschaltet wird (Licht­ maschinen-Ausgang (5)).
  • - Der mit Beginn der Messung gespeicherte Wert ständig mit dem aktuell angegebenen Wert verglichen wird
  • - Bei Veränderung des errechneten Differenz-Wertes (Anfangswert = 0) in einen "negativen" Bereich ein Signal-Ausgang der Messeinheit aktiviert wird und darüber eine Alarmgabe über ein akustisches und/oder optisches Gerät erfolgt (4).

  • - Das die Betriebsart "Überwachung" des Systems wählbar ist, zwischen Fahrzeugstillstand und Motor abgeschaltet.
