Die Kreuzung der Maschen kann indes auch so vorgenommen werden, daß entweder in allen Maschenreihen nur die linksseitigen bzw. nur die rechtsseitigen Maschen der zur Kreuzung gelangenden Maschenpaare obenaufkommen, oder aber, daß abwechselnd und in beliebigen Abständen in einer, gewissen Anzahl -von aufeinanderfolgenden Maschenreihen die rechtsseitigen Maschen, in einer anderen Anzahl von Maschenreihen jedoch die linksseitigen Maschen der zur Kreuzung gelangenden Maschenpaare obenaufkommen. Ferner können, wie Fig. 1 der Zeichnung zeigt, die zur Kreuzung· gebrachten Maschenpaare in den einzelnen Maschenreihen versetzt zueinander angeordnet sein, oder aber sie können immer denselben Maschenstäbchen angehören, in welchem Falle sie dann, wie aus Fig. 2 ersichtlich, als je zwei übereinandergelegte und zickzackförmig in die Längsrichtung der Ware verlaufende Maschenstäbchen auf der Schauseite des Gewirkes erscheinen.
