Standing aid for bedridden and mobility-impaired people

According to the population development plan and statistically proven, people in our country are getting older. This inevitably leads to an increase in the number of frail, disabled and bedridden people.

Getting up in the morning becomes a long and often painful process for this group of people, as does the all-important change to another side position (not least to protect against bedsores/decubitus). Due to a lack of appropriate aids, these people are almost without exception dependent on outside help. In hospitals and nursing homes, optimal care is not possible in many cases due to acute staff shortages. Home care is also a major burden and drains the energy of the support staff. The patients simply do not have the opportunity to help themselves. There are well-known holding aids that can be attached to the head of a bed, so-called "gallows". However, these only allow the patient to hold on and pull themselves up into an upright sitting position - turning sideways or standing up is often not possible without outside help.

The invention of the "standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people" provides a remedy here in that it is a holding device that is attached/anchored to the ceiling and has a further special feature: a guide rail/square tube (Fig. 1.1 and Fig. 2.1) for the lateral displacement of the special holding trapeze suspended from a "trolley" (Fig. 1.6 and Fig. 2.6), whereby all the usual movements, from sitting upright, changing the side position to standing up, can be carried out by the affected person independently and without outside help.

In detail, the invention consists of 2 suspensions/supports (Fig. 1,2 and Fig. 2,2), which are located on both sides of the guide rail (Fig. 1,1 and Fig. 2,1) and are fixed by means of fastening holes (Fig. 2,3) and lock/key screws (Fig. 2,4 - approx. 10 mm thick and

approx. 120 to 160 mm long) with the appropriate, commercially available dowels - optionally also with threaded rods, washers and self-locking nuts through the ceiling - optimal for all body weights.

Optionally, two additional flat irons can be mounted lengthwise for reinforcement.

The approximately 120 cm long guide rail is arranged transversely, approximately above the beginning of the lower half of the bed up to the knee position (Fig. 1, Sheet 1).

The entire holding trapeze is suspended from a "trolley" (Fig. 1,6 and Fig. 2,6), which is guided at the top by four encapsulated ball bearings (Fig. 2,7) and at the bottom by 2 rollers/contact rollers (Fig. 2,8 ; as protection against tilting), and can be moved sideways almost continuously and locked by means of a locking/locking bolt (Fig. 2,9) with tension spring/return spring (Fig. 2,10) via a pull ring (Fig. 1,1.1 and Fig. 2,11), connected to a pull line/rope (Fig. 2, 12) with a toggle (Fig. 2,29) in the bolt holes in the guide rail (Fig. 1,13 and Fig. 2,13). A rubber buffer (Fig. 1.5 and Fig. 2.5) is attached to the left and right of the guide rail as a stop damper.

The "trolley" (Fig. 1.6 and Fig. 2.6) is provided with an upper chain suspension (Fig. 2.14) on both sides, to which a chain (Fig. 1.16 and Fig. 2.16) can be attached, which is adjustable in height using snap hooks (Fig. 1.15 and Fig. 2.15), and which is connected at the bottom to the upper cross tube (Fig. 1.17 and Fig. 2.17). This cross tube has a centrally arranged threaded rod screw connection (Fig. 2.18), to which the threaded rod (Fig. 1.19 and Fig. 2.19) of the height-adjustable and rotatable holding trapeze, which is attached to the lower cross tube (Fig. 1.20 and Fig. 2.20) with chains, is firmly screwed. Optionally, the threaded rod can also be welded to the upper cross tube (Fig. 1,17 and Fig. 2,17). ^

The knurled nut (Fig. 2,21) located below the lower cross tube (Fig. 1,20 and Fig. 2,20) enables both manual height adjustment directly at this point and - with optional locking of the drive pin (Fig. 2,22) - height adjustment.

To protect against injuries and dirt, the threaded rod is surrounded by a protective tube (Fig. 1,23 and Fig. 2,23) which is loosely attached to a protective tube holder (Fig. 2,24) located centrally on the upper handle (Fig. 1,25 and Fig. 2, 25) and extends to below the knurled nut (Fig. 2,21). For safety reasons, the upper handle (Fig. 1,25 and Fig. 2,25) and the lower handle (Fig. 2,27) are provided with a continuous threaded rod (Fig. 2,26) for fastening the chain on both sides.

Hooks or other fastening options for attaching accessories (e.g. a reading device or another handle, etc.) can be provided on both sides of the lower handle/bar (Fig. 2,27);j|Fig. 1,28 and Fig. 2,28). All chain links can be closed/welded for stability reasons.

Variable length adjustment can be made possible by additional guide rails/support profiles attached lengthwise to the ceiling on both sides.

The "trolley" can optionally be equipped with an electric drive or connected.

A position lamp with a color-coordinated LED can be attached/hung on the upper cross tube or elsewhere, which emits a very weak, non-disturbing point of light in the dark and thus enables the handrail to be found immediately.

Instead of chains, steel cables and/or belt material can be used in whole or in part.

The installation of such a device is sensible and practical and represents optimal self-help for the person concerned!

Claims (21)

1. Standing-up aid for bedridden and mobility-impaired people, characterized in that it is essentially a holding device that is attached/anchored directly to the ceiling in the transverse direction to a patient bed underneath, and is arranged exactly above the starting area of the lower half of the bed (approx. knee height) ( Fig. 1, Sheet 1 ), and as a further special feature has a guide rail/square tube ( Fig. 1.1 and Fig. 2.1) with a "trolley" that can be moved laterally on it ( Fig. 1.6 and Fig. 2.6), on which the special holding trapeze is suspended, which, in conjunction with the overall construction, enables all the usual movements - from sitting upright, changing to a side position to standing up - to be carried out by the sick/mobile-impaired person independently without outside help. 2. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claim 1, characterized in that the approximately 1.20 m long guide rail/square tube ( Fig. 1.1 and Fig. 2.1) has a suspension/support on the right and left ( Fig. 1.2 and Fig. 2.2) with fastening holes ( Fig. 2, 3), whereby an optimal anchoring that can withstand high body weights can be achieved by means of approximately 10 mm thick and approximately 120-160 mm long lock/key screws ( Fig. 2,4) in conjunction with corresponding, commercially available dowels. 3. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claim 1 and 2, characterized in that the anchoring of the guide rail can also be carried out by means of threaded rods which can be guided completely through the ceiling and fastened to the floor above with washers and self-locking nuts. 4. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 3, characterized in that flat irons can optionally be mounted in the longitudinal direction on both sides to reinforce the ceiling fastening. 5. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 4, characterized in that a "trolley" (Fig. 1,6 and Fig. 2, 6) which can be moved in both sides/directions is "suspended" on the guide rail/square tube ( Fig . 1,1 and Fig . 2,1). 6. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the smooth running of the "trolley" can be achieved by at least four encapsulated ball bearings ( Fig. 2,7) mounted at the top of the housing and at least two running rollers/contact rollers ( Fig. 2,8) mounted in the lower housing, which prevent tilting. 7. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the "trolley" on the lower housing is provided with a locking/locking bolt ( Fig. 2,9), a tension spring/return spring ( Fig. 2,10) and a pull ring ( Fig. 1,11 and Fig. 2,11), which can be brought into the desired position by the patient via a pull cord/rope ( Fig. 2,12) by means of a hand gag ( Fig. 2, 29) attached to it and can be anchored by snapping into one of the bolt holes distributed over the underside of the guide rail ( Fig. 1,13 and Fig. 2,13). 8. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the "trolley" is dampened at the stop by a rubber buffer ( Fig. 1.5 and Fig. 2.5) to the left and right of the guide rail. 9. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the "trolley" is provided on both sides of the housing underside with an upper chain suspension ( Fig. 2,14), into which a chain ( Fig. 1,16 and Fig. 2,16) that is height-adjustable by means of snap hooks ( Fig. 1,15 and Fig. 2,15 ) can be suspended and connected to the upper cross tube ( Fig. 1,17 and Fig. 2,17). 10. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the upper cross tube ( Fig. 1,17 and Fig. 2,17) has a centrally arranged threaded rod screw connection ( Fig. 2,18) to which the threaded rod ( Fig. 1,19 and Fig. 2,19) is firmly screwed at the top, while the holding trapeze is attached below so that it is height-adjustable and can rotate about its own axis. 11. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 10, characterized in that the threaded rod ( Fig. 1,19 and Fig. 2,19) is passed through a central opening on the lower cross tube ( Fig. 1,20 and Fig. 2,20) and is provided with a large knurled nut ( Fig. 2,21) underneath, with which the holding trapeze suspended by chains on the lower cross tube can be manually and continuously adjusted in height. 12. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the knurled nut ( Fig. 2, 21) is provided with a driver pin ( Fig. 2, 22), with which the entire holding trapeze can optionally be adjusted in height by rotating the lower handle ( Fig. 2, 27) about its own axis. 13. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the threaded rod ( Fig. 1,19 and Fig. 2,19) runs below the knurled nut ( Fig. 2,21) in a protective tube ( Fig. 1,23 and Fig. 2,23) which can be loosely attached or firmly connected to a protective tube holder ( Fig. 2,24) arranged centrally on the upper handle/round tube ( Fig. 1,25 and Fig. 2,25). 14. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the upper ( Fig. 1,25 and Fig. 2,25) and the lower handle ( Fig. 2,27) are provided with a continuous threaded rod ( Fig. 2, 26) for safety reasons, to which the chains are attached on the outside. 15. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired persons according to claims 1 to 14, characterized in that the individual chain links can be closed/welded for stability reasons. 16. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired persons according to claims 1 to 15, characterized in that instead of the chains, steel cables and/or belt material can be used throughout or in some areas. 17. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the lower handle/bar ( Fig. 2,27) can optionally have hooks ( Fig. 1,28 and Fig. 2, 28) or other fastening options for attaching accessories (e.g. a reading device or an additional handle) on both sides. 18. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 17, characterized in that the holding device can be adjusted to the individual body size (e.g. in hospitals, old people's and nursing homes, etc.) by enabling variable longitudinal adjustment/shifting on the ceiling by attaching two additional guide rails/support profiles there in the longitudinal direction of the bed, on which the guide rail/square tube for the "trolley" can be positioned at a suitable location. 19. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 18, characterized in that the "trolley" can optionally be equipped with an electric drive or can be connected to one. 20. Standing-up aid device for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 19, characterized in that a battery-operated position lamp with a light-emitting diode can be attached/hung on the upper cross tube or at another suitable location, which emits a very weak, non-disturbing point of light in the dark, and in this way an immediate finding of the handrail can be made possible. 21. Standing-up aid for bedridden and mobility-impaired people according to claims 1 to 20, characterized in that the threaded rod ( Fig. 1,19 and Fig. 2, 19) required for height adjustment can optionally also be arranged (screwed or welded) at the lower end with the lower cross tube ( Fig. 1,20 and Fig. 2,20) in the middle and can be led upwards through an opening in the middle of the upper cross tube ( Fig. 1,17 and Fig. 2,17) and can be made height-adjustable above it with a large knurled or wing nut with a lot of flywheel mass, whereby this knurled/wing nut can in turn be provided with a driver pin in order to optionally also enable height adjustment by turning at any point on the holding trapeze hanging underneath (holding trapeze is rotated around its own axis to the desired height). In this case, the protective tube can be omitted or replaced by a flexible corrugated rubber hose (rubber sleeve).
