Description

The invention relates to a respirator with a mouth and nose cover element and two fastening straps arranged on the mouth and nose cover element.

Respiratory masks of the type mentioned are known. On the one hand, these are made from a nonwoven fabric, or from a woven fabric. In contrast to FFP2 masks, these masks can only hold back part of the aerosols from the direct breath of the wearer.

In the case of the mouth and nose protection masks made from a nonwoven fabric, it is known to provide a flexible metal bracket in the area of the nose in order to ensure a relatively tight closure of the mouth and nose protection mask in the area of the nose, on the one hand to keep the field of vision free and on the other hand Restrict breathing air outlet upwards.

In the case of mouth and nose protection masks made of woven material, such a bracket is usually missing, with the result that the used breath can escape upwards from the cover area of the mouth and nose cover. The production of a conventional mouth and nose protection breathing mask with such a metal bracket is relatively expensive, since the metal bracket has to be sewn in in a separate operation. In the case of an oral-nose respirator made of a woven fabric, the metal bracket is completely absent, as already stated, which is why the distribution of the aerosols from the wearer's breath into the environment cannot be entirely avoided with such an oral-nose respirator.

The object on which the invention is based is to remedy this. In particular, the object of the invention is to ensure, in a relatively simple manner, a relatively tight closure of the respirator in the area of the nose, both in the case of mouth and nose protection breathing masks made of nonwoven material and those made of a woven material.

To achieve the object, it is proposed according to the invention that, in the nose area of the mouth and nose cover element of the respiratory protection mask, the mouth and nose cover element have a curvature formed from the material of the mouth and nose cover element. The curvature of the nose of the wearer is reshaped, so that a relatively tight seal of the respirator at the top is guaranteed, with the further consequence that the spread of aerosols when speaking or sneezing into the environment is largely prevented.

The recycling of conventional fleece masks is also simplified if a metal bracket can be dispensed with.

Further advantageous features and embodiments of the invention emerge from the subclaims.

In particular, it is provided that the curvature is formed by two folds in the nose area running transversely to the upper edge of the mouth-nose cover element. It is provided in particular that the folds run approximately parallel to one another. The term “approximately parallel” is also intended to encompass a slightly conical course of the folds in the direction of the lower edge of the mouth and nose cover element, whereby the natural shape of the nose is taken into account, which usually becomes somewhat wider downwards.

Furthermore, it is advantageously provided that each fold is formed by one or more double layers of material in the area of the upper edge of the mouth and nose cover element. A material doubling is understood to mean a superposition of the material of the mouth and nose cover element.

Furthermore, a first fastening band is arranged on the upper edge of the mouth and nose cover element, the at least one material doubling of each fold being fixed by the upper fastening band. In particular, it can be provided here that the first fastening strap surrounds the upper edge of the mouth and nose cover element in a U-shape in cross-section in order to ensure stable and permanent wrinkling. The fastening tape can be attached to the mouth and nose cover element by means of a seam, which then also covers the doubling of the material.

According to a further feature of the invention, the mouth and nose cover element has a lower edge, the second fastening strap being arranged in the region of the lower edge. The two fastening straps on the upper and lower edge of the mouth and nose cover element can be used to fasten the protective mask to the head. It can also be provided here that the fastening straps are made of rubber-elastic material.

According to a further feature of the invention, it is provided in particular that at least the mouth and nose cover element is formed from a woven fabric.
