Description

The invention relates to a moisture barrier for sealing buildings against the ingress of moisture and water.

In construction, sealing against moisture such as against non-pressing water an important role. To protect walls from damaging water absorption, water-repellent protective coatings, mineral seals or impregnations such as plastic dispersions are used. Alternatively, PVC films or bitumen cardboard are applied in or under the walls.

It is an object of the invention to provide a moisture barrier and an arrangement with such a moisture barrier, which is characterized by good processing properties.

This object is achieved with the features of claims 1, 14 and 15, respectively.

The butyl adhesive coating preferably does not harden and is flexible at temperatures between -10 ° C and + 90 ° C. In addition, the aluminum barrier layer (unlike bitumen or PVC) is not very sensitive to temperature and remains flexible at temperatures down to minus 5 ° C, so that the moisture barrier can be processed very well at low temperatures. Due to the permanent flexibility of the moisture barrier, the moisture barrier adapts easily to unevenness in the subsoil when laying, so that a particularly tight connection between or tight contact with the subsoil and masonry can be established. The adhesive coating can be applied to the barrier layer over the entire surface or almost over the entire surface, so that when the moisture barrier is installed, full or essentially full surface adhesion to a substrate is guaranteed. The barrier layer made of aluminum preferably has a thickness in the range from 7 μm to 20 μm, preferably in the range from 8 μm to 15 μm and particularly preferably in the range from 9 μm to 12 μm, in particular a thickness of or of approximately 10 μm.

A plastic coating is preferably arranged on the outwardly facing side of the blocking layer or on the side of the blocking layer facing away from the adhesive coating. This plastic coating protects the aluminum barrier layer from mechanical damage. Additionally or alternatively, the side of the barrier layer facing the adhesive coating has a plastic coating. The moisture barrier is preferably designed in the form of a web, so that it can be transported and processed in a simple manner as roll goods. The vertical or vertical installation of a sheet-like moisture barrier as described above as a cellar seal is described below as an example. To protect the moisture barrier from mechanical damage (e.g. when filling the construction pit), a protective fleece can be applied to the moisture barrier. Alternatively, insulation boards (e.g. perimeter boards) can be mounted on the moisture barrier.
