For cooking in ovens different containers are currently known. The object of the present invention is to provide an advantageous grill plate which overcomes the problems described above.

This object is achieved by a generic grill plate in that the support area comprises a plurality of elevations. These elevations run parallel to one another and form a bearing surface. Furthermore, the support area comprises gutters, which are formed between the elevations, each with two flanks, which bound the gutter laterally, and a gutter bottom. The gutters allow a quick drainage of liquid from the support area of the grill plate in the trough-shaped profile. At the same time, the liquid is no longer in contact with the cooking / grilling product during draining.

The grill is made of a metallic material, such as steel or light metal (aluminum or aluminum alloy). A multilayer or sandwich construction of several different metallic materials is also possible, for example a combination of steel and copper, steel and aluminum or aluminum and copper.
