Abstract

A camera strap (1) consisting of a wrist strap around the wrist and a connecting piece attached to the camera via a cord (4), a fastening loop or a 1/4-inch screw on the tripod socket (on the underside of the camera ) is connected. Characterized in that the camera can be separated by means of a click-quick release of the wrist strap.

Description

Camera loops (also known as hand loops for cameras) of conventional design, consist of a loop around the wrist and attached to the camera camera connector. They serve to protect the camera from an unwanted fall from the hand (eg on the floor).

Separation of the camera from the wrist with attached hand strap:

• 1. Handgelenkschlaufe, Verbindungsstück und Fotokamera sind sozusagen an einem Stück miteinander verbunden: alle drei Teile sind fest miteinander verbunden und eine Lösung der Kamera vom Handgelenk ist nur möglich, wenn die Schlaufe vom Handgelenk genommen wird.
• 2. Handgelenkschlaufe und Fotokamera sind mit einem Verbindungsstück verbunden, dass eine Trennung/Lösung der Fotokamera zulässt ohne die Handschlaufe zu lösen. Möglich gemacht wird dass durch eine Steckverbindung (oder auch Klick-Schnellverschluss genannt) mit der die Verbindung von Handschlaufe und Kamera einfach mit einem Handgriff gelöst werden kann. Diese Art der Verbindung birgt allerdings die Gefahr, dass sich die Steckverbindung (bspw. bei starkem Zug/Belastung durch eine herunterfallende Kamera) ungewollt löst und die Fotokamera trotz Kameraschlaufe zu Boden fällt und beschädigt wird.

The combination of camera and wrist takes place in the current state of the art in two ways:

• 2. Wrist strap and camera are connected with a connector that allows a separation / solution of the camera without loosening the wrist strap. Made possible by a connector (or click-quick release) called with the connection of the hand strap and camera can be solved easily with a handle. However, this type of connection involves the risk that the connector (eg. In case of strong train / load by a falling camera) unintentionally triggers and the camera falls despite camera crawler to the ground and is damaged.

The second problem described above (1) is achieved with the features listed under the protection claim 1.

With the invention it is achieved that both a simple and comfortable separation / solution of the camera from the wrist strap and a secure connection of wrist strap and camera is guaranteed. This new feature is achieved with a click quick connection that can be locked against accidental opening via a locking mechanism. A sliding mechanism prevents in the closed state that the click connection can be solved.

Securing the wrist strap to the wrist

At the current state of the art, camera catches are usually not secured to the wrist. Wrist loops, which do not offer the possibility of size adjustment, thus have the problem that they do not provide sufficient support in the case of a too large diameter - in the worst case, a drop of the camera can not be avoided.

This problem described (2) is achieved with the features listed in the protection claim 3 (ff).

With the invention it is achieved that the wrist strap with the aid of a metal hook or a stopper (plastic or metal) can be adapted to the individual wrist diameter. This ensures that the hand strap has the optimum diameter and thus seat. This fact prevents slippage of the wrist strap over the wrist. In the case of the implementation of the variant with metal hooks, there is an additional fall protection, since the wrist strap automatically engages under loading / pulling on the camera cradle (for example due to a falling camera). This ensures a very high case safety of the camera.

Two embodiments of the invention will be described with reference to 1 to 4 explained. Show it:

In the figures, two exemplary embodiments (different materials) of the camera lanyard with lockable quick click connection are shown as a drawing. This exemplifies that an execution of the camera cradle made of different materials is possible. In this case, examples of loop materials in paracord (nylon) and neoprene are shown.

Basically, however, it should be noted that in addition to nylon yarns and neoprene also weaves, other fabrics and yarns from different raw materials or leather as materials for the hand strap in question.

Camera loop ( 1 ) consisting of a wrist strap which is placed around the wrist and a connecting piece which is connected to the camera via a cord ( 4 ), a fixing loop or a 1/4-inch screw on the tripod socket (on the bottom of the camera).
