Zudem können identisch hergestellte LED-Leuchteinheiten mit unterschiedlichen Sockeln für GU5,3 (12 V, 3, Bez. 4) und GU10 (230 V, 3, Bez. 3) kombiniert werden. Durch die Trennung der beiden Einheiten wird außerdem ermöglicht, dass der Sockel separat über ein steckbares Adapterkabel mit der Leuchteinheit verbunden wird (3) und dies die Tiefe des Leuchtmittels um ca. 5 cm reduziert, da der Sockel inklusive bauseitig vorhandener, aufgesteckter GU5,3- oder GU10-Fassung neben dem Einbaustrahler mit eingesetzter LED-Leuchteinheit in der Zwischendecke eines Raumes abgelegt werden und dadurch die Zwischendecke eine um diesen Wert gewonnene, geringere Tiefe aufweisen kann. Die Konstruktion der konisch zulaufenden LED-Leuchteinheit (identisch mit der Form des Reflektors einer Halogen- oder LED-Retrofit-Lampe und 50 mm Durchmesser vorne) weist rückseitig einen gegen verkehrte Polung gesicherten Steckkontakt auf, der sich dermaßen in den Buchsenkontakt des Sockels einfügt, dass sich im zusammengesteckten Zustand eine identische Optik und typische Länge des Leuchtmittels ergibt, wie bei Halogen- oder Retrofit-LED-Leuchtmitteln für GU5,3- bzw.
