Relative movements between foot and shoe are undesirable because they have a negative impact on the athletic results.

Football boots are additionally required to allow good ball contact on their outer surface.

In DE 10 2006 003 670 A1 is a sports shoe for running or skiing proposed, which consists of a flexible shaft (liner) and an associated sports shoe. • Fußballschuh – ist ein Sportschuh, bei dem im Bereich des Unterteils Ausformungen in der Form so genannter Stollen oder Befestigungselemente dafür angeordnet sind, die wiederum mit dem Unterteil oder der Platte verbunden sind.
• Unterteil – ist ein Bauteil, das den Schuh nach unten abschließt. Es kann aus einer Brandsohle, einer Zwischensohle, einer Innensohle, einer Platte und einer Laufsohle bestehen. Es kann aber auch aus einem oder mehreren der vorgenannten Bauteile bestehen. Insbesondere die Laufsohle kann profiliert sein, Stollen oder Spikes tragen.
