So findet sich neuerdings in einigen Anwendungsbereichen der Begriff der „frustfreien” Verpackung, welcher für ein speziell gestaltetes Verpackungsdesign steht, welches einen einfachen Zugang zum Produkt ohne Zuhilfenahme weiterer Hilfsmittel und gegebenenfalls noch weitere Nutzungen, wie beispielsweise ein Wiederverschluss der geöffneten Verpackung, erlaubt.
