Example 1 - Eye patch of textile fabric

The eye patch is sewn together from four parts. It consists of a front part with insertion position, an upper and a lower part. In order to achieve the required rigidity of the material, the front, upper and lower part of the eye patch are doubled and connected by means of an intermediate layer of double-sided nonwoven line. On the back of the front part of a stretchable insertion position is sewn, through which a passage for the temple and the spectacle lens is formed. The front part bends sideways at the same angle that the eyeglass temple has to the spectacle lens. This kink ensures that the flap covers the eye both from the front and from the side. This angle is fixed by attaching upper and lower parts. This results in a stable, curved valve body, which, after mounting on the spectacle frame, adapts to the cheek, temple and forehead and completely covers one eye. Example 2 - Eyepatch made of silicone

For the eye patch, a liquid silicone molding is produced in the first step.
