Die Erfindung betrifft ein elastisches Bandmaterial mit Kett- und Schussfäden. Je nach gewünschter Dehnrichtung können die Kettfäden oder die Schussfäden oder beides elastisch ausgebildet sein, wohingegen die übrigen Fäden unelastisch sind. Auch Bänder, bei denen nur Teilbereiche elastisch, die übrigen Bereiche jedoch unelastisch sind, sind realisierbar.
