The invention relates to the use of special carriers provided with an adhesive layer as a wound dressing for the treatment of wounds in animals, in particular horses. In particular, the invention is directed to the treatment of wounds in the limb area. Especially here it must be ensured that the dressings used for the supply are also firmly seated on joint areas or areas with varying circumference.
