Description
The invention relates to a flexible cartridge belt in the preamble of the claim 1 mentioned genus.
Such a cartridge belt is already known (US-PS 24 72 861). With this belt, the Cartridges held by two plastic parts, namely on the one hand by curved holding sections of the belt itself and, on the other hand, of plastic strips, the ends of which are sewn together with the ends of the holding sections are. However, the plastic strip must be relatively stable, since it not only has the task of To include the jacket surface of the cartridges in part, but above all must absorb the forces that act on attack the holding sections in order to extend them over a much larger circumference than i80 ° to keep bent. Unless very stable copper wires or the like are used, must therefore the plastic strips have an equally great strength. However, this then affects disadvantageous when cartridges are to be pushed out of the cartridge pocket. On the other hand, the great strength of the plastic strip so that it does not get between the individual cartridge pouches can pull along the belt, otherwise the bendability of the belt in the intermediate sections between the Cartridge pouches left a lot to be desired.
In addition, a flexible cartridge belt of another type is known (GB-PS 11 06 754), in which the one from one has one-piece strip of material formed belt oval cartridge pouches.
The invention is based on the object of providing a cartridge belt of the type mentioned at the beginning to improve that it results from a handling simplification resulting from the increase in bendability excels. It goes without saying that the production should not cause any great difficulties either and that the belt is characterized by the lowest possible weight.
The invention is characterized in claim 1 and the dependent claim is a further development claimed.
Die Vorzugsausrichtung der Moleküle des Kunststoffgurtes, insbesondere wenn er aus verhältnismäßig eigensteifem Polyäthylen hoher Dichte besteht, kann einfach, beispielsweise durch Anwendung von Druck und Wärme, erfolgen, wodurch ohne zusätzliche Maßnahmen eine erhöhte Biegbarkeit erzielbar ist Bei dieser Druckanwendrng können die Abschnitte mit ausgerichteter Molekülanordnung auch verformt werden, so daß diese beispielsweise eine sich quer zur Gurtrichtung erstreckende Sicke aufweisen, derenThe preferred orientation of the molecules of the plastic belt, especially if it is made relatively consists of inherently rigid high-density polyethylene, can easily, for example, by applying pressure and heat, as a result of which increased flexibility can be achieved without additional measures With this application of pressure, the sections with the aligned molecular arrangement can also be deformed, so that they have, for example, a bead extending transversely to the belt direction, their
The recess can be stretched over by the plastic strip Without the belt itself having to be built from different material sections, you can use them Sections of aligned molecular arrangement have a hinge effect, d.
bestimmten Patronen in diese Nuten 2 hineinpassen.J5 middle part 3 of section 5 between successive grooves are advantageously treated by the application of heat and pressure, so that an orientation of the molecules in this part 3 is brought about, which gives this part 3 the property of a "hinge", which can easily be moved without any significant bending deformation Areas lying between successive "hinges" allow these areas to be easily pivoted in relation to one another.
Of course, the width and depth of the grooves 2 are selected in such a way that the cartridges intended for use with the belt fit into these grooves 2.
The space intended for receiving the cartridges is shown in FIG. 1 denoted by 4.
Fig.2 zeigt einen Schnitt durch einen Teil einesFig.2 shows a section through part of a
The cartridges 6 are in the grooves 2 by means of a thin Film strip 7 held in place, which is easily torn in the transverse direction and preferably, but not necessarily the same width as strap 1. The film strip 7 is on the belt 1 in the Areas 8 welded, at least partially the areas 5 of the belt 1 between successive Grooves 2 correspond. Between the welds 8, expediently by ultrasound treatment are produced, but can also be produced with the application of heat, the film strip 7 extends transversely to the cartridges 6 inserted in the grooves 2 and holds them firmly in their position in the grooves 2.
Für den in Rede stehenden Fall sei angenommen, daß Hie Patronen hülsenlos sind, d. h. die ungeschützte l reibladung gegenüber mechanischen Beanspruchungen empfindlich ist und bei Einwirkung äußerer KräfteFor the case in question it is assumed that the cartridges are caseless, i.e. H. the unprotected l Frictional charge is sensitive to mechanical loads and when exposed to external forces
Because the cartridges 6 are in place in the grooves 2 through the film 7 in place are held, the cartridges are protected against mechanical influences, and the belt 1 can can be rolled up without damaging the cartridges 6.
Der Filmstreifen 7 soll in der Querrichtung gestreckt sein, so daß der Streifen in dieser Richtung leicht reißtF i g. 3 shows the cartridge belt in a view from above with cartridges 6 inserted into the grooves 2 Drawing shows, the projectile 11 can be outside of the belt 12 protrude, however, as the projectile one caseless cartridge usually placed in the propellant charge is embedded, it is preferable from the standpoint of safety to make the belt 1 wide enough so that it is able to accommodate the entire length of the cartridges 6 in the grooves 2. The film strip 7 should be in the Be stretched transversely so that the strip tears easily in that direction
Wie in F i g. 4 gezeigt, hinterläßt eine verbrauchte Patrone die Reste der über die Nuten 2 gespannten Teile des Streifens 7 in Form loser Kanten 9.When the ammunition is needed, the strap is inserted into the automatic firearm in a known manner inserted so that the belt the cartridges gradually one after the other to the cartridge chamber of the weapon where the cartridges are pushed out of the cartridge belt individually by the loading mechanism and inserted into the cartridge mechanism. To easily release the cartridge from the belt, the mentioned, but not shown, loading mechanism should be equipped with a cutting device or the like be, which makes a cut in the edge of the film strip 7 so that the strip is easy tear open and the cartridge is released at the same time. As in Fig. 4, leaves a used one Cartridge the remnants of the parts of the strip 7 stretched over the grooves 2 in the form of loose edges 9.
To make it easier to fix the belt in the weapon, at least one of the edges of the Belt be provided in a known manner with a row of holes 10, which an accurate guidance of the belt allowed.
The advantages of the belt according to the invention are that the belt can be manufactured cheaply and can easily be thrown away after it has been used. The belt can be used in particular in conjunction with caseless ammunition, since the belt provides the cartridges with favorable mechanical protection. If the cartridge belt is filled with caseless ammunition, it is obviously readily disposable and destructible, since there are no remains of the cartridges that need to be taken into account, and the belt can simply be torn off and thrown away. A major advantage of the cartridge belt according to the invention is that it is extremely light in weight compared to known cartridge belts.
