Zusatz zum Patente 174176 vom 2. Februar 1904.Addendum to patent 174176 of February 2, 1904.
Patentiert im Deutschen Reiche vom 22. Juni 1905 ab. Längste Dauer: 1. Februar 1919.Patented in the German Empire on June 22, 1905. Longest duration: February 1, 1919.
The subject matter of the invention relates to another. Formation of the protected by Letters Patent 174176 u device. For cleaning blast furnace gas or the like. In this device the gas is introduced into a space at A, a fixed housing connecting to the, in which latter rotates a drum. The water is directed towards the gas through a diffuser g. Experiments have shown that the gas cleaning is significantly improved if the gas and the water curtain do not go so regularly between the blades along the housing wall, but if some turbulence is generated. It is also advantageous not to discharge the water contaminated by the dust at the very end of the drum, but to remove it beforehand.
On the last part of their way, fresh water is then fed to the gases from the inside of the drum. The water can be introduced into the interior of the drum, for example, through an opening in the hub i or through the hollow shaft. Since in the subject of the main patent the water usually runs along the long sides of the wings, small gutters are attached here to prevent this, which release the water to the side under high pressure, whereby the latter is thrown against the gases again. In the drawing, the subject matter of the invention is illustrated in FIGS.
Während sonst das Wasser den Gassäulenkern wenig oder gar nicht trifft, wird es auf diese Art immer wieder aufgefangen undAs in the subject of the main patent, the gas enters at A , while g water is supplied through the body. In front of the hub i of the drum, a disk is provided which has an opening k . Water then enters the interior of the drum through this opening k and a perforation in the hub. The holes I through which the water is injected into the housing are provided around the last third of the drum circumference. It is advisable to remove the water contaminated by the dust particles at the beginning of the gas path. as soon as possible, since it can easily happen that dust particles are carried away again when passing through this water. An opening m is therefore provided on the housing through which the dirty water can run off. The essential moment of improvement now lies in the arrangement of the grooves η on the outer impeller (Fig. 2 and 3). As can be seen, these grooves go from the wings to the side. The water that runs off the longitudinal edge of the wing is thus led to the side through these channels. While otherwise the water hits the gas column core little or not at all, it is caught again and again in this way
verspritzt. The drainage ends of the channels are shaped in such a way that the outflowing water flows towards the center of the drum and hits the lattice wing ο in the middle. Such a wing is expediently made of perforated sheet metal or of wire mesh, which is reinforced with a flat iron frame, or other suitable material (Fig. 4 to 6). This is the best way to make the most of the water. As already mentioned, the supply of water into the interior of the drum can also be done in other ways, e.g. B. by a hollow shaft.
