Description
From the French patent specification 1 263 122 it has become known that a contact pad which consists of a silver-metal oxide composite material, with the help of an intermediate layer of pure silver can be connected to a metallic contact carrier by pressure welding. A specially groomed one There is no need for an oxide-free layer on the contact pad itself.
This problem is solved on the basis of the known method for connecting a contact pad made of a silver-metal oxide composite material and a metallic contact carrier by pressure welding using one made of pure silver Intermediate layer, characterized in that, according to the invention, initially on the contact carrier in a per se known method a piece of pure silver is applied by removing the end of a fed wire Pure silver is welded to the contact carrier by means of electrical resistance butt welding S Lina is then cut off at a certain distance from the contact carrier, then this Pure silver piece to a thin pure silver intermediate layer formed and finally the contact pad on this pure silver intermediate layer

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
Abb. 1 zeigt eine Einrichtung zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens, bei der sowol·: das Reinsilber als auch die eigentliche Kontaktaullage vom fortlaufenden Draht aufgeschweißt wird:Fig. 1 shows a device for carrying out the method according to the invention, in which both : the pure silver and the actual contact layer are welded on by the continuous wire:

There pure silver wire is fed from the coil 21 and at 22 with its end face atf the carrier material 1 by resistance welding; attached. The silver wire is then cut briefly at a distance from the welding point and the welded piece of wire is formed into an approximately 100 to 500 .mu.m thick layer 211 in the forming station 23 using known means, for example by embossing, rolling or grinding. With a suitable design of the cutting device, a special forming station 23 can be dispensed with. The material web 1 treated in this way is now fed to a second welding station 3, where from the coil 31 wire z. B. made of silver-cadmium oxide 90/10 - in the same way as the pure silver wire before - is welded onto the silver plating at 32 and cut to a suitable length. The material web 1 is now fed to a further forming station 33 , where the welded piece of wire is brought to its final contact shape 311 . In further devices not shown any more, the material web 1 is now further processed in a known manner to, for example, a fixed or a movable contact piece for an electrical device. A b b. As an example of such a contact piece, FIG. 2 shows a connection contact in section. The contact carrier 111 consists of a metallic, iron-free or iron-containing material, to which the thin pure silver coating 211 has first been applied. To this
