anwenden.Drawing: Procedure for connecting a contact pad to a
metallic contact carrier The present invention relates to a method
for connecting a contact pad made of silver and a metal oxide such as cadmium oxide
o, the like. exists, with a metallic, iron-free or iron-containing contact carrier.
The fastening of oxide-containing contact materials on the carrier material prepares
some difficulties. In the known methods, therefore, we act on the to be soldered
Areas of the contact surface by plating with a fine silver layer, by sintering
pure silver for molded parts produced by powder metallurgy or by one-sided
Conducting the oxidation process creates an oxide-free layer, this has the disadvantage
that it is easy to mix up when the contact pad is applied to the contact carrier
can come between the oxide-free and the oxide-containing side of the contact surface,
Furthermore, not all known resistance welding processes .B. Wire welding process
use.
Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß auf den Kontaktträger zunächst;
The object of the invention is to find a way through which in oxide-containing
Contact materials, the specially prepared oxide-free layer is dispensable.
In particular, the use of all resistance welding processes should be made possible,
According to the invention this object is achieved in that on the contact carrier initially;
in one of the known methods a thin pure silver plating is applied and
on this silver plating the actual contact plating made of silver-metal oxide composite
is applied without an oxide-free layer in the resistance welding process.
Verbindung entsteht. The silver plating can be done according to any known method, x.B.
applied by electroplating, plating, cold or resistance welding
through which an intimate mechanical connection with the carrier material is guaranteed
is,
Similar to an electrical switching device, also contact piece supports
made of silver composite material with one another or with a mating contact made of pure silver
are made to weld if the current load is sufficient
can, the silver composite is now in the resistance welding process with
connected to the silver plating, the pure silver diffuses into the composite material
and vice versa, so that there is also an intimate mechanical relationship between these two substances
Connection is established.
The invention is explained in more detail below, specifically for the example
a resistance welding device working with a continuous wire, Fig. 1
shows the example of such a welding device in which both the silver
as well as the actual contact surface is welded on by continuous wire,
Fig. 2 shows a connection contact produced by the method according to the invention
on average. In Fig.
1 the material web 1 for the contact carrier 111 step by step the welding station
2, where pure silver wire is filled from the coil 21 and at 22 with it
its end face attached to the carrier material 1 by resistance welding.
The silver wire is then cut short at a distance from the welding point
and the welded-on piece of wire in the forging station 23 by known means
e.g. by embossing, rolling or grinding into an approximately 100 to 500 µm thick layer
211 formed. With a suitable design of the cutting device, a special
Forming station 23 can be dispensed with.
The material web 1 treated in this way is now used for a second welding station
3 supplied, where from the coil 31 wire z, B, made of silver-cadmium oxide 90/10 -in the same
Like before the pure silver wire at 32 is welded onto the silver plating and
cut to a suitable length. The material balm 1 is now another
Forming station 33 supplied, where the welded piece of wire atif its final
Koutaktform 311 is brought. In other institutions that are no longer shown
the material web 1 is now further processed in a known manner to, for example
a fixed or a movable contact piece for an electrical device.
Fig. 2 shows an example of such a switch
Connection contact
in section, the contact carrier 111 consists of a metallic, iron-free or
ferrous material to which the thin pure silver layer 211 is first applied
has been, Alf this pure silver plating 211 is then the actual contact plating
311 made of a silver-metal-oxide composite, e.g. made of silver-cadmium oxide
Resistance welding has been applied, so no. this contact pad 311 with
the previously required oxide-free layer is provided, after your welding
If necessary, the contact pad 311 is mechanically restored to its final shape
E.g. rivet head shape and is with the contact carrier over the silver plating
211 in each case mechanically firmly connected to the contact carrier 111 at the welding points.
Reinsilberauflage 211 aufweist. The proposed method is self-evident in its application
not restricted to the wire welding process described in the example. Ir individual
Application case it can be advantageous to save the welding station 2 with
to work a material web 1, which is already a thin one produced in another way
Has pure silver plating 211.
