Abstract

A manufacturing method for plastic bags recombines a layer of plastic (1) to the outside surface of the bag (2) to provide a portion of the outside surface with a lower melting point than the inside surface of the bag. The bags are arranged in stacks and heat is applied to bond the low melting point layer. A relatively weak bond is formed between adjacent outside bag surfaces while the bag inside surfaces remain free of each other. The weak bond is positioned along the median of the bag and near the bag opening. A second bag is drawn open by the bond during retrieval of a first bag. A flexible separation tab (14) is arranged to maintain the separation between the inside surfaces of the open bag. The separation tab may also be made conspicuous to present an obvious retrieval point for the top bag in a hanging bag dispensing arrangement.

Claims

1. plastic bag comprising:
a pocket body ( 2 ) constructed from a first plastic film with a first melting temperature, the pocket body ( 2 ) having front and rear outer and inner surfaces; and
a layer ( 7 ) made of a second plastic film or a second plastic film with a second melting temperature,
wherein the layer ( 7 ) is applied to the front and rear outer surfaces and the second melting temperature is lower than the first melting temperature.

2. Plastic bag according to claim 1, characterized in that the layer ( 7 ) is applied to a portion of the front and rear outer surfaces.

3. Plastic bag according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the layer ( 7 ) is applied along a median of the front and rear outer surfaces of the bag body ( 2 ).

4. Plastic bag according to claim 1, 2 or 3, characterized net that the first plastic film high density polyethylene (HDPE) and the second plastic film is low density polyethylene (LDPE).

5. dispensing arrangement of plastic bags having inner and outer sides ( 2 ), the dispensing arrangement ( 10 ) comprising:
a plurality of plastic bags ( 2 ) arranged in a stack, the outer sides of which touch one another,
characterized in that the outer sides of adjacent pockets in the stack are glued together at a first point and the inner sides are not glued together at the first point.

6. Dispensing arrangement according to claim 5, characterized in that each pocket ( 2 ) in the arrangement ( 10 ) has an open end and a closed end and that the first location is adjacent to the open end.

Dispensing arrangement according to claim 6, characterized in that each pocket ( 2 ) in the arrangement ( 10 ) has a pocket root ( 4 ) which is connected to the open end by a perforation connection ( 5 ) and the pocket roots ( 4 ) to one another are connected, the arrangement ( 10 ) further comprising a separating flap ( 14 ) which is designed to protrude into the open end of a pocket ( 2 ) located at the top of the stack.

Dispensing arrangement according to claim 7, characterized in that the separating pocket ( 14 ) is resiliently flexible so that the separating flap ( 14 ) bends during the separation of the upper pocket ( 2 ) from the stack of pockets and returns to a position in which it protrudes into the open end of the top pocket in the stack.

Dispensing arrangement according to claim 5, characterized in that the plurality of plastic bags ( 2 ) is surrounded by a container ( 11 ), the container ( 11 ) having an opening ( 12 ) through which a removal section of an upper pocket ( 2 ) protrudes in the stack, the opening ( 12 ) and the adhesive ( 7 ) being configured such that when the upper pocket ( 2 ) is pulled off, a removal section ( 8 ) is pulled through the opening ( 12 ), where the adhesive ( 7 ) breaks.
