The invention relates to a metal sheet panel for roofing or wall cladding with two cover sheets and an intermediate layer of heat-insulating material.

Metal sheet panels of this type are well known in practice. They serve as building closure elements and at the same time provide thermal insulation.

In practice, however, metal sheet profiles without additional thermal insulation are also known, on the outside of which a flat photovoltaic element is glued with hot glue. The photovoltaic element is made up of several solar cells made of amorphous silicon arranged one above the other, which in turn are applied to a flexible carrier film made of stainless steel and covered by a protective plastic film.

Die Herstellung eines solchen Metallblechprofils erfolgt in der Weise, dass auf das flach liegende, mit Löchern für später an rückseitige, elektrische Kontakte des Photovoltaik-Elementes anzuschließende Leitungen versehene Metallblechprofil das Photovoltaik-Element und als Zwischenlage der Heißkleber in Folienform aufgelegtThe production of such a metal sheet profile is carried out in such a way that the photovoltaic element and the hot-melt adhesive in the form of a film are placed on the flat metal sheet profile, which is provided with holes for cables to be connected later to the rear electrical contacts of the photovoltaic element.

Nach Erkalten des Heißklebers ist das Photovoltaik-Element flächig mit dem Metallblechprofil verbunden.and then the hot glue is softened by heat introduced via the metal sheet profile, whereby the three layers mentioned above are subjected to pressure. After the hot glue has cooled, the photovoltaic element is connected to the metal sheet profile.

The production of such a metal sheet profile with photovoltaic elements attached to it using hot glue is complex due to the joining and pressurization of these three layers lying flat on top of each other during the supply of heat via the metal sheet. In particular, it is difficult to create a connection between the metal profile and the photovoltaic element that is free of air pockets.

Such a structure consisting of a metal sheet profile with a photovoltaic element attached to it using hot glue is not suitable for heat-insulating metal sheet panels of the type mentioned above because it is not possible to heat the cover sheet forming the outside, to which the photovoltaic element must be connected, to a temperature high enough for the bonding process, usually around 12O 0 C, via the heat-insulating material of the intermediate layer without destroying the heat-insulating material.

The invention is based on the object of creating a metal sheet panel of the type mentioned above, which is provided with a photovoltaic element.

A flat photovoltaic element is applied which is provided with electrical connection cables and is designed as a flexible laminate with a cold-bonding adhesive on the back and whose electrical connection cables are led through holes provided in the sheet metal panel and sealed with regard to the building physics requirements.

The photovoltaic element preferably consists of amorphous silicon cells. A bituminous layer is a suitable adhesive. The holes with the connecting cables are preferably filled with a heat-insulating material that is optimized for fire protection. In addition, the holes in the cover plate forming the underside must be sealed with a seal that acts as a vapor barrier.

In the following, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to a drawing illustrating an embodiment, which shows in cross section a metal sheet panel with two applied photovoltaic elements and a part of a connected adjacent metal sheet panel.

Each metal sheet panel P, P* consists of an inner cover sheet 1 in the case of roof covering or wall cladding and an outer cover sheet 2 which preferably forms wide beads 6, 7 using trapezoidal profiles 3, 4. The two cover sheets 1 form a cavity 8 between them which is closed laterally by end strips 9, 10 and covered with an intermediate layer 11 made of a heat-insulating material, e.g.

Polyurethane, polystyrene, mineral fiber, etc. The longitudinal edges 12, 13, 14, 15 of the cover sheets 1, 2 are profiled differently in such a way that adjacent metal sheet panels P, P* partially overlap one another and interlock in a form-fitting manner in the manner of a tongue and groove connection. A sealing strip 16 is inserted between the adjacent metal sheet panels P, P*.

In the area of the beads 6, 7, photovoltaic elements 17, 18 are held by means of a cold-bonding adhesive 19, 20 applied to the back. Each photovoltaic element 17, 18 has two connecting lines 21, 22 leading outwards, of which only one is shown in the drawing for each photovoltaic element 17, 18. To pass these connecting lines 21, 22 through the sheet metal panel, holes 23 are provided which, in addition to the connecting lines 21 passed through, are filled with a heat-insulating, fire-protection-optimized filling material 25. The holes 23 are covered on the outside with a closure 26 which acts as a vapor barrier.

Dem Hersteller der Metallblechpaneele wird dieses Laminat in Form vonThe electrically interconnected components of each photovoltaic element 17, 18 consist of several amorphous silicon cells arranged one above the other, which are covered on the outside by a protective plastic layer and thus form a flexible laminate. Sheets are supplied, with the self-adhesive bitumen layer covered by an easily removable release paper. The manufacturer of the metal sheet panels then attaches the connecting cables 21, 22 to the electrical connections of the photovoltaic elements 17, 18 so that he can lead the connecting cables 21, 22 through the holes 23 when the laminate is rolled onto the metal sheet panel P. Finally, the holes are filled with heat-insulating, fire-protection-optimized material 25 and the closures 26 are made.
