Description
The invention relates to a device for sucking a floor nozzle that is driven by an electric motor Brush roller has one connected to the floor nozzle his suction pipe and one to a vacuum cleaner leading hose through a tubular handle is connected to the suction pipe, the handle with is equipped with a functional element with which the drive the brush roller regardless of the operation of the floor vacuum cleaner can be switched on and off and the Signal transmission between the functional element and the Floor nozzle is carried out without a load.
A device of the structure described is from DE 297 23 260 U1 known. A remote control is in the handle Buttons for operating the vacuum cleaner fan and / or the brush roller integrated.
In an embodiment known from US 4,654,924 this is Handle also designed as a control unit from which both the operation of the cylinder vacuum cleaner can be controlled can, as well as the drive of a brush roller in the Floor nozzle can be switched on and off. In the handle are sensor switches as well as displays and LEDs arranges.
Wird der Sensor losgelassen, schaltet das Sauggebläse ab.In a suction cleaning device known from DE 26 44 697 A1 is that arranged between the suction pipe and suction hose Handle piece equipped with a sensor switch whose touch the suction fan to the suction hose connected vacuum cleaner is switched on. Becomes When the sensor is released, the suction fan switches off.
US 2 258 252, DE 18 12 748 A1, CH 267 367).In portable vacuum cleaners that e.g. B. for cleaning Upholstery are used, and are upright suction cups also handles with a spring-loaded operating lever for Switching the suction fan on and off is known (US Pat. No. 2,258,252, DE 18 12 748 A1, CH 267 367).
US 2 323 554, DE 43 43 432 A1).The measures described above increase the operator comfort. The problem is not solved that a electric motor-driven brush roller a textile Flooring can damage if z. B. for short-term Interruptions of the suction process the floor nozzle with ro animal brush roller is turned off. To harm avoid sensitive floors due to incorrect operation, is the floor nozzle with the known measures a motion sensor equipped with a detec stopped the nozzle driving the brush roller switches off (US 2 323 554, DE 43 43 432 A1).
A).The circuit of the electric motor drive by a However, motion sensor has the serious disadvantage that the brush roller turns due to an unintentional rotation the floor nozzle can suddenly start moving without it this is expected by the user. This results in a considerable risk of injury. To reduce the risk of injury an additional safety switch is required that switches off the drive of the brush roller, as soon as the floor nozzle is lifted off the floor. As sure For example, a switch on the bottom is suitable Probe element that the by a vertical adjustment Electric motor of the brush roller switches (JP 4 327 821 A).
A vacuum sensor is also used as a safety switch settable, the according to the measured vacuum The brush roller drive switches on and off. With big Negative pressure necessary for operation on a carpeted floor is characteristic, the drive is switched on. Becomes the floor nozzle lifted off the floor or on a smooth Used underground, the Brush roller.
Additional devices on a floor nozzle, which on the one hand consist of a motion sensor and on the other hand consist of a separate safety switch to reduce the risk of injury, are complex. Often, the installation space for accommodating a motion sensor and an additional safety switch is also not available. In DE 43 43 432 A1 ( FIGS. 3 and 4) it is proposed to equip the floor nozzle with an electromechanical switch which fulfills both the function of a motion sensor and a position sensor. The position sensor responds as a safety switch when the floor nozzle is turned upside down. There is still a considerable risk of injury, since the brush roller can move suddenly if the floor nozzle is lifted off the floor but not turned upside down.
The invention is based on the object at the outset further described device so that a automatic switch-off of the brush roller drive guaranteed is as soon as the suction process is interrupted, and that there is also a risk of injury from the ro turing brush roller is largely eliminated. The Safety device that has an automatic shutdown of the brush roller drive ensures one have a simple structure and can be used with cylinder vacuum cleaners be connected to a hose with a by default formed tubular handle without switching electronics connected.
The task is done with a device with the input described features solved according to the invention, that the functional element is attachable to the handle Has housing on which a spring-loaded control lever is held, which is actuated when the handle is gripped is and turns on the drive of the brush roller and the Brush roller drive switches off again as soon as the handle piece is released, and the housing a battery compartment and devices for signal detection and signal transmission contains.
As soon as the user interrupts the suction process and that lets go of at least one hand-held grip, takes place immediately or with a lower time delay delay a switch-off of the brush roller drive. On Risk of injury from the rotating brush roller largely eliminated because of the intake manifold at for example as a telescopic tube with a length of 500 mm to 1100 mm has a large distance between the functional element and the brush roller is preserved. A mistake operation in such a way that with one hand the remote Functional element operated and with the other hand Floor nozzle is detected near the brush roller is off closed. The teaching according to the invention allows Surprisingly simple, a reliable scarf tion of the rotating brush roller when the floor nozzle is turned off, and at the same time it protects the user effective against injury from the rotating brushes roller.
The floor nozzle contains an electronic circuit order, the signals of the functional element processed and switches the brush roller drive. The signal over is carried wirelessly, e.g. B. by infrared, ultrasound or radio. The energy for the sensors and signals Carrying is provided by batteries in the case are arranged. There is also the possibility of tubular duct of the handle one of the air flow to arrange a driven turbine that a generator for Power supply of the functional element drives. Finally there is the possibility of the handle outside the Handle area with solar cells for the power supply of the functional element.
The recognition signal is processed by a Electronics in the floor nozzle. The intended scarf arrangement can include a timer and so out be formed that the shutdown of the brush rollers drive with missing signals with a predetermined time delay occurs.
In a further embodiment, the invention teaches that Switch off the functional element using a separate switch is cash. When the functional element is switched off, the The brush roller drive is switched off and cannot move in Operation. The user has the poss ability to close the floor nozzle without a rotating brush roller use. This is advantageous when sucking sensitive floor coverings, very deep-pile carpets and smooth floors. According to the invention, there is also the possibility of to provide a device with which the control lever of the Functional element in the functional position in which the The brush roller drive is switched off mechanically can be blocked.
