Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a removable awning with solar modules and at least a battery for storing the energy and a device for energy consumption. she assumes a removable sun visor in a motor vehicle, which is attached to its in folded down position facing outward solar panels that with at least one battery in the sun visor for energy storage and - levy are connected (DE-PS 40 03 399). Now if this sun visor outside the Motor vehicle - e.g. B. on appropriately attached supports - provided as sun protection , this may be enough for the motor vehicle occupants as sun protection; Not but for example for visitors to campsites.
Since it is now known in caravans, a device for setting up a living tent on It is structurally easy to attach the roof instead of one To provide an awning that can accommodate a larger number of people at the same time Offers protection even in unfavorable weather conditions.
With regard to the sun visor mentioned at the outset, the task arises Design the awning so that it uses energy by using solar modules can win and save.
In DE-PS 38 32 688 an awning is already described and shown, the frame of which is covered with a film and has a transparent field in the upper area, under which the solar cells for electricity generation are integrated in a recess. Since the load-bearing capacity of the film is reduced by the transparent field for the light supply to the solar cells, the number of solar cells may not exceed an upper limit. This also limits the amount of energy generated. The energy generation according to the teaching of patent number US.5433259 is even lower, since here only a single transverse strip 38 of the awning 12 has solar modules 70 , as can be seen from FIG. 2. According to patent number DE 196 20 619, in the case of an awning which can be actuated via control electronics with associated sensors, 5 voltaic solar collectors for the power supply are attached to the outside of the cover 2 of a trough 1 for receiving the awning. Because of their small mounting area, these solar collectors can only generate a small amount of electrical energy.
To solve the problem, therefore, the awning cover is made of flexible Manufacture solar cell strips and the batteries for storing the energy in the roller to accommodate for rolling out and rolling up the awning cover.
Advantageous details of the awning covering, the arrangement of the batteries, a device for cleaning the awning surface and a device for Use of solar cells with artificial lighting are in the subclaims Chen specified. It goes without saying that the awning is not just on Caravans and the like, but z. B. can also be attached to house walls can.
Dabei zeigenThe awning according to the invention is described and illustrated using exemplary embodiments posed. Show

Fig. 1 shows the awning 1 according to the invention in partial view from below. The solar cell strips 2 are flexible so that they can easily be rolled up on a roller 4 . Referring to FIG. 1, the solar cell strips 2 extend in this case, rich processing of the awning 1. However, an arrangement of the solar cell strips 2 z. B. perpendicular to this representation parallel to the fall direction of the awning 1 conceivable. The adjacent solar cell strips 2 are connected to one another in a watertight manner, the design of these “seams” 3 being left to the person skilled in the art with regard to the material used. A detachable connection can also play a role here due to the possibly required replacement of individual solar cell strips 2 due to damage. Of course, if necessary, individual solar cell strips 2 by awning fabric z. B. can be replaced when the damaged solar strip 2 can not be replaced quickly enough to keep the awning 1 ready.
The interconnected solar cell strips 2 of the awning covering 1 a are rolled out and back together with the aid of a roller 4 and are thereby held taut by joint supports 12 a, 12 b. This roll-out or roll-up process can be carried out manually by turning an eyelet 5 attached to the roller 4 with the aid of a crank (not shown), the claw of which engages in the eyelet 5 (see FIG. 2), or also by an electric motor 6 , which finds place in the roller 4 and can be operated in a versatile manner in its actuation via a timer 7 (see FIG. 3).
In order to largely protect the solar cell strips 2 against external influences, they can be provided with a layer that does not hinder the absorption of energy. The protection options largely depend on the chemical composition of the layer and can therefore be selected according to the respective requirements. When choosing z. B. a water-repellent layer, protection against wear due to friction effects such as when cleaning with a brush, e.g. B. according to the teaching of patent specification 196 27 394, a layer, the dirt particles such. B. gives less hold due to antistatic properties, protection against freezing moisture, for example by installing heating wires in the se layer or according to the teaching of DE-PS 36 17 439 and the like.
To store the energy generated in the solar cell strips 2 batteries are required, which can also find space within the roller 4 , such as. B. be known batteries with a layered structure made of polypyrene and lithium foils as electrode material including a gel. The batteries provided in the roller 4 are - for example via a busbar - combined to form a unit which has a plug device for a versatile use of energy. This includes e.g. B. also a possible lighting of the hanging at the free end of the awning cover 1 a facing 8 for advertising purposes.
To clean the surface of the awning cover 1 a, for example, a brush device 20 can be attached to the awning cover 10 , which must be supplied with water for cleaning. If the awning 1 is installed on a house wall, the supply of tap water from the house network - possibly via a reservoir 17 - is probably the easiest way to roll the surface of the awning cover 1 a by one or more times by and the brush device 20 to clean. If, on the other hand, the supply of tap water is difficult, a sufficiently large reservoir 17 must be provided for the cleaning process. Whether there is still space in the interior of the roller 4 for this storage container 17 depends on the dimensions thereof. However, there is certainly sufficient space for this in hollow hinge supports 12 a, 12 b for tensioning the awning cover 1 a or in containers 17 which can be attached to these hinge supports 12 a, 12 b practically inconspicuously on the outside. There is also the possibility of attaching a water collecting rail 14 to the free end of the awning covering 1 a opposite the roller 4 , which collects the water flowing down from the cleaning device 20 and possibly from precipitation. From this Sam melschiene 14 , the water is sucked off by a pump 15 through a coarse and fine filter 16 and either fed directly to the cleaning device 20 for reuse or the water reservoir 17 filled up. The shut-off valves 18 required for this are actuated automatically and prevent the storage container 17 from being overfilled. A water overflow is provided on the busbar 14 .
As explained above, the awning 1 according to the invention not only serves as protection against solar radiation and against precipitation, but is also able to convert light effects into energy due to the solar modules in the solar cell strips 2 . This effect of the solar modules depends on the strength of the light effects; In other words, the relatively greatest light output is achieved during the day due to the action of the sun's rays, and practically zero at night. This can be changed in cases where strong lighting measures, such as for a soccer game or the like, are provided. Even if the light rays should only serve to illuminate a certain area, it is unavoidable that the environment is also illuminated by rays in an approximately horizontal direction. When these light rays hit solar modules, they can be converted into energy; even if the yield is low, this is an additional energy output for an existing module surface that would otherwise not be provided at night.
For this measure it is only necessary to roll out the awning so that it runs vertically downwards from the roller. For this purpose, the hinge brackets 12 a, 12 b must be prevented from tensioning the awning cover 1 a. This can e.g. B. by a swivel mounted below the roller 4 , the Ge steering 12 c of the two pairs of articulated arms each bridging hydraulically or pneumatically actuated locking device 19 or the like. If the awning 1 is "rolled out", the direction inevitably goes down, so that at the end of the process about half the surface of the awning tension 1 a is exposed to the illuminating rays and can convert it into energy. Another advantage is a windbreak for those who had previously sat under the awning.
