Abstract

The arrangement forms a polarization filter pair consisting of floodlights of a vehicle (1) in combination with a polarization filter (3) as light transmitter, and the windshield of a vehicle (2) in combination with a polarization filter (4) as light receiver, whereby a direct ray of light from an opposite vehicle can be faded out through the polarization effect completely or partially, and a visibility of the lane, as well as other traffic results through the reflection of a diffuse strew light portion on the lane coat and the lane limits. The polarization filters of different vehicles conform to a common basic adjustment. The floodlights and windshields of existing vehicles can be upgraded with corresponding accessories. Die Hauptscheinwerfer können allerdings nach wie vor in bekannter Weise bei Gegenverkehr abgeblendet werden. Zusätzlich ist der Einsatz eines Aufhellblitzes im Moment der größten Annäherung möglich. Ebenso können andere Vorrichtungen, die ein blendfreies Ausleuchten der Fahrbahn in Kurvenfahrten ermöglichen, mit der erfindungsgemäßen Vorrichtung gekoppelt sein.The existing elements can also be retrofitted to existing vehicles. Vorrichtung zur blendfreien Ausleuchtung des Verkehrsraumes vor sich bewegenden Fahrzeugen im Straßenverkehr, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
die Scheinwerfer eines Fahrzeuges (1) in Verbindung mit einem Polarisationsfilter (3) als Lichtsender und die Windschutzscheibe eines Fahrzeuges (2) in Verbindung mit einem Polarisationsfilter (4) als Lichtempfänger ein sich zueinander ausgerichtetes Polarisationsfilterpaar bilden und der direkte Lichtstrahl des Gegenfahrzeuges über Polarisationswirkung ganz oder teilweise ausgeblendet werden kann und die eigentliche Einsichtnahme der Fahrbahn sowie anderer Verkehrsteilnehmer über die Reflexion des diffusen Streulichtanteiles am Fahrbahnbelag und Fahrbahnbegrenzungen erfolgt,
die Zuordnung der Polarisationsfilter zwischen Lichtsender (3) des Fahrzeuges (1) und Lichtempfänger (4) des Fahrzeuges (2) so ist, daß eine nahezu Auslöschung der direkten Lichtstrahlung gewährleistet wird,
die Polarisationsfilter unterschiedlicher Fahrzeuge einer gemeinsamen Grundeinstellung gehorchen,
die Scheinwerfer und die Windschutzscheiben bereits bestehender Fahrzeuge und Sehhilfen von Fahrzeugführern mit Zubehörsets nachrüstbar sind,
die Polarisationswirkung der verwendeten Polarisationsfilter durch mechanische, pneumatische, hydraulische und elektromechanische Stellglieder oder elektrischer Spannungsfelder oder nach dem Wirkprinzip der LCD beeinflußbar ist,
die erreichte Ausblendstarke der Polarisationswirkung über optische, akustische, elektromechanische und mechanische Sensoren meßbar ist.
